Here is some information about the characters so that members can know a bit more about them. Hopefully, those that join will know already what the characters are like. But this is just to help you all out.
The Host Club
Suoh Tamaki
Tamaki is half French and half Japanese. He is the 'king' of the host club, and is deeply in love with Haruhi. However, to protect her secret, he keeps his affections outside of public view. He is a second year student at Ouran, and is best friends with Kyoya. He is the same class as Kyoya and Beni, and often refers to himself as the father of the Host Club. He often goes out of his way to help others, which has occasionally caused a disruption within the group, but Tamaki loves to help others, and cannot stand seeing others unhappy.
Ootori Kyoya
Kyoya is a second year student, and is the vice president of the Host club. He is seen as the 'cool' type, and is often helping Tamaki to plan events. He is a very intelligent person and is in charge of the club's finances. He comes from a very powerful family, and will often use this power to protect those that he cares about. Since Beni has joined the club, he has started to develop deep feelings for her. But because of how quiet she is, and the fact that she owes him money, he is unsure whether or not to act on these feelings.
Fujioka Haruhi
Haruhi is scholarship student at Ouran High School. It is thanks to Tamaki's father that she is able to attend the school. She is a part of the host club due to being in debt after breaking a vase. Within the club, she is seen as the 'natural' type. Very few people know that she's actually a girl, and Haruhi is happy with this. She is deeply in love with Tamaki, but their relationship is kept a secret, only the hosts know that they are together.
Hitachiin Hikaru
Hikaru is a first year student at Ouran, and is the twin brother of Koaru. Within the club, he is known as the 'devil type'. Although he is a lot like his brother, Hikaru is a louder and his words and actions are crueler. He cares deeply about his brother and is rarely seen without him. Hikaru has a crush on Haruhi and hopes to try and win her heart.
Hitachiin Kaoru
Kaoru is the younger twin of Haruhi, but he tends to take the elder brother approach and helps to guide his brother. He and his brother are in the same class as Haruhi, and he often likes to tease Tamaki about this. Kaoru is calmer then his brother, and is more mature due to the fact that he can recognise his flaws. Within the club he is seen as the 'devil' type and often uses his close relationship with Hikaru to his advantage.
Haninozuka 'Honey' Mitsukuni
'Honey' is the eldest member of the host group, but he is also the shortest. Using this to his advantage, he has been classed as the Loli-Shota type. Honey is often seen with Mori, and is always carrying his cuddly toy around 'Bun Bun.' Although he looks rather cute, he is a master at karate and judo. He often gives people nicknames, and always helps to defend his friends from danger.
Morinozuka 'Mori' Takashi
'Mori' is the second eldest member of the group and the cousin of Honey. However, he keeps to the tradition of the two families and often acts as a servant and protector to Honey. He is the National Kendo Champion, so he has been classified as the 'wild' type in the club. Tamaki hardly ever speaks, so he is seen as rather mysterious. His only reason for joining the club was to stay with Honey, however, he has become a valuable member of the club, and always obeys any orders given to him.
Hoshakuji Renge
Renge used to live in France before coming to Japan. She enjoys controlling people and situations. For a while she was the club's manager, and is now just a fan girl. However, she still plays a part in the club's decisions, and often uses her own opinions to benefit the club. She is an enthusiastic girl and is very loud person who tends to over dramatise situations.
Nanyoshi Beni
Beni used to live in England with her mother, her father is a wealthy businessman who owns companies in the music, games and film industry. However, he often was in Japan so Beni didn't see him often. However, after her mother became ill, her father moved the family to Japan and Beni began to attend Ouran High School. She is a very quiet and reserved girl, she is extremely intelligent and is in the same class as Kyoya and Tamaki. After stumbling in on the third music room and accidentally causing some damage, she has become the club's maid and artistic guide. She is developing deep feelings for Kyoya but is suppressing them because of personal issues.
The Black Magic Club
Umheito Nekozawa
Umheito is the president of the Black Magic Club, and is a cat lover. He is always seen with his hand puppet Bereznoff that is rumoured to bring bad luck. He is very sensitive to light, so he wears a cloak and a dark wig. He is naturally blonde and has a younger sister, who, thanks to the host club has become close with. He is eighteen years old, and is in his final year of Ouran High School.
Nakayu Mai
Mai is the daughter of a semi-rich tycoon. She has two sisters and a younger brother. Her family own companies centred on money lending and travel. However Mai has little interest in this and is deeply interested in the 'dark arts'. She is in charge of keeping hold of the archives of the Black Magic Club, and deeply respects Umheito. She has feelings for Yuziko, but feels that such ties will only get in her way of achieving her goals. Mai is in the same class as Hoshakuji Renge, and is curious to find out what is so great about the host club.
Mimaju Yuziko
Yuziko is a rather scary person; he cares little for anyone else and doesn't leave a good impression on anyone. His father is just as cruel, and is in charge of certain Mafia groups and strangely enough a famously tough police force. Yuziko has three tattoos on his body, one on his face, which he got before joining the Black Magic Club, and one on either arm, both of which are spells. Because of his dark nature and his passion for Black Magic, he has been named vice president of the group, and will take over the group when Umheito leaves, something that he is looking toward to.
The Zuka Club
Amakusa Benio
Benio is the President of the White Lily Club, which is also known as the Zuka Club, the Club is set around the idea of female supremacy, so she despises the host club. She knew right away that Haruhi was a girl, and hopes to steal Haruhi from the 'evil' nature of the host club. However, since failing in her goal of stealing Haruhi's first kiss, she has kept away from Ouran. Benio attends the Saint Roberia Institute and has a deep love of theatre.
Maihara Chizuru
Chizuru is the Vice-President of the Zuka Club; she is very loyal to Benio, and shares the same dislike towards the Host Club. She is in her second year of Saint Roberia Institute and has high hopes of going into theatre. She doesn't take kindly to men flirting with her, and hopes that their Club with influence other women to not allow men to rule over them.
Tsuwabuki Hinako
Hinako is a loyal member of the Zuka Club, and follows them on all of their adventures. She is dedicated to the group, and firmly believes in everything that Benio tells her. She loves theatre and maths, and hopes to help lead a campaign to stop men from being seen above women.
The Newspaper Club[/size][/blockquote]
Komatsuzawa Akira
Akira is in charge of the Newspaper Club at Ouran High School. He is the son of a famous newspaper tycoon owner, and will be taking over the business when he graduates. Until crossing paths with the Host Club, he wrote lies about everyone and his newspaper wasn't popular. However, since reinventing the school's paper, it has grown in popularity.
Ukyou Chikage
Chikage is a lacky of Akira, he is quite smart but often doesn't get to show this. He is able to see through Akira's faults and often tries to stop Akira from making mistakes. He cares a lot for his friends and tries to guide him to make decissions that will help him.
Sakyou Tomochika
Tomochika is the photographer of the group. He is in Class C at Ouran High School so is often looked down upon. He has rather good looks but doesn't value these as important, he is extreemly interessted in media and hopes to become a famous photographer one day. He is loyal to Akira and rarely speaks out against him.

Kasugazaki Kanako
Kanako is a regular at the Host Club who ften switches her favourite host. She is engaged to Suzushima Toru who is now in England. She has a deep interest in tablewear but is somewhat embarrassed to admit it. She often writes to him and once a month she goes on her private jet to see him. She was Haruhi's first kiss, yet Kanako is unaware that Haruhi is a girl.
Kuragano Momoka
Momoka is another regular at the Host Club and is a fan of Haruhi, she often requests to be with Haruhi in order to satisfy her needs. Momoka is the Vice-President of Class A in the first year. She works well with the President of the Class and has recently discovered that he has a crush on her. She doesn't yet know how to act on this discovery because she has a crush on somebody else.
Jonouchi Ayame
Ayame is in her second year at Ouran High School. She is in the same Class as Tamaki, Kyoya and Beni. She hates rain, noise and Tamaki. Though she is a regular at the Host Club, she find it annoying that Tamaki gets better grades then her, especially due to the fact that she is constantly studying. She has started to become friends with Beni, and the two often study together.
____ Ayanokji
Ayanokjii used to be a regular customer of Tamaki, but because of her behaviour towards Haruhi she has been banned from the Host Club forever. She has since been trying to find a way to get her revenge and to get back into the Host Club. She hates Tamaki completly and cannot forgive him for what he has done. She finds classes hard at the moment because she is in the same class as Tamaki.

Souga Kazukiyo
Kazukiyo is the class President for the first years in Class A. Decpite being the leader of the class, he is easily scared. He has a crush on the Vice-President Momoka. He recently confessed his feelings for her but was left crushed when she didn't give a reply. He is good friends with Haruhi and the twins, and deeply respects them. In class discussions he often looks to them for ideas and for back up if he has to make a tough decission.
Ritsu Kasanoda
A lot of rumours used to circle around Kasanoda, and many still do. Because of his terrifying features, people used to fear him. Being the son of the most powerful Yakuza family in Tokyo, he was raised to be tough and scary, which resulted in him being extreemly lonely. He approached Morinozuka 'Mori' Takashi for help and became his apprentice. He soon figured out that he just had to be himself, and soon became popular. He enjoys taking care of injured animals and likes to help others. Since finding out haruhi's secret, he has developed deep feelings for her.
____ Arai
Arai used to attend the same middle school as Haruhi, and is good friends with her. He attends a secondary school near him, however, he often visits Haruhi in order to keep their friendship strong. He works at his uncle's grocery during the summer in order to help support his family. He is a relativly calm personand brushes things off easily. He has recently aquaired a girlfriend but is unsure how to tell Haruhi.
Haninozuka Yasuchika
Yasuchika is the younger brother of Mitsukuni and is currently in the Junior High Division. He is the Karate Club's captain and is also a member of the Judo Club. He is a lot more restrained with his emotions then Mitsukuni is, and often feels disgraced by his brother's behaviour. In order to not be be recognised as Mitsukuni's brother he wears glasses. Decpite his attitude towards his brother, he respects him as a martial artist. He has a secret love of small fluffy birds but hides this under a tough and cruel exterior.
Takaoji Shiro
Shiro is in the Elementary Divison and is good friends with the Host Club members. He is somewhat rude and stubbon and only befriended the Host Club to learn how to please women. He has a crush on a girl Hina, who used to be in his class until she moved to Germany. He writes to her every day and is taking lessons from Tamaki to learn hot to play the Piano.

Maezono Shima
Shima is in charge of Tamaki's upbringing and education. She helps teach him etiquette and advices him on how to act within a buisness world. She has a soft spot for Tamaki but hopes that he'll learn to overcome his problems alone, and hopes that he will develop the ability to realise his own mistakes. She has noticed a change in Tamaki recently, and is worried it might distract him from his lessons.
Fujioka 'Ranka' Ryoji
Ryoji is a bisexual man who decided to never love another women after his wife died. He wishes that Haruhi was more feminine so he is always buying her dresses and skirts. He is very fond of Kyoya and has a dislike for Tamaki. He is unaware that his daughter is dating Tamaki at this time. He is proud of Haruhi for getting into Ouran High School, and is glad to see that she has good friends.
Sonoda Misuzu
Like his friend Ryoji, Misuzu is a cross dresser. He is the owner of a pensione in Karuizwa. Although a rather beautiful place, it doesn't make much money, so he is unable to employ anyone. However, during the holidays, Haruhi helps him out, and he has become rather fond of her and has begun to see Haruhi like family.
Ohtori Yoshio
Yoshio is a very strict man whohas traditional values. He holds all of his children at arms length, and punishes them if they embarrass him or go against his wishes. He wants his sons to be the best in whatever they are doing, however, he has put a lot of pressure on Kyoya because he has become bored with his sons being top in class. Although Kyoya is the youngest son, he wouldn't mind naming him the heir, however, he is unsure whether or not this will be a good idea since discovering that Kyoya was a part of the Host Club.
Ohtori ____
The eldest son of Yoshio, he is currently working at his father's hospital. He is looking forward to taking over his father's company and has many ideas on how to develop the companies. He looks down on Kyoya and knows little about him and his brother's ambition.

Shido Fuyumi
Fuyumi is the only daughter of Yoshio, she married into the Shido family a year ago and her father expects her to stay with her family and to make visits short and rare. Before this, she was very close to Kyoya and Tamaki. She still sees Kyoya whenever she can, and often worries that he is doing more then he can handle to impress their father. She would prefer Kyoya to take the family buisness because she feels he has worked the hardest for it.
Suoh Yuzuru
Yuzuru is the father of Tamaki, he is the chairman of the Private Ouran Institute and the leader of the Suoh empire. His lineage is of royal blood so he has access to a lot of things. He enjoys playing golf, theatre and teasing Tamaki. It is thanks to him that Haruhi got the scholarship to Ouran High School and is fully aware that she is a girl.
Nanyoshi Akira
Nanyoshi Akira is the father of Nanyoshi Beni, he is an intellegent and strict man. He owns companies in the film, music and tv indistry, and also owns an insurance company and is rather despised for this. He is a very cautious man, believing that only those who are worthy enough deserve to get insured by him, this has left him with quite a lot of enimies. He had high hopes for his son to take over the company, and was deeply upset when he died. Now with his wife dying, he is left taking care of his daughter. The two don't speak much and Akira is often tough on her, but he does care about her, and often helps her out without her noticing.
