Come forward, little lost one;;
Name: Hinata Airi
Nickname: Airi-chan, and in America her friends called her Twirls.
Age: 15
DOB: may 18th
Lineage: very wealthy
Year/Class: 1-A, Class 10-A
Family Business: Her mother was a professional dancer in Las Vegas. Her father is the head of a Fabric Manufacture and Supply company, which supplies fabric to fashion and furniture designers all over the world, but mostly to those in Japan.
Gender: Female
I've prepared your costume;;
Physical Appearance: Her skin is lightly tanned due to her constantly being outside. Its yellow undertones greatly complement her thick silky hair. Her hair is light brown in color, with natural blonde highlights, that make it look almost like sand. It is rather long; reaching her lower back, and has a slight wave to it. Her bangs gently feather her forehead and end just below her thin brown eyebrows. On her slender, lightly tanned, face she has big, round, emerald colored eyes that always seem to sparkle with ambition. Thin pink lips surround her ever-smiling mouth. Her nose, (like most anime noses) is small, so small, to the point at which it is almost not there. Her cheeks have a natural rosy flush to them, giving her a warm, merry air even when she is at her most serious. No one has yet been able to keep from smiling when they first see her.
She‘s about 5’8, and what most people would call “model-skinny” being that she is only 104 pounds. Her body is that of a dancer’s: tone and athletic, yet delicate and curvy. Her legs are a bit longer when compared to her torso, which is a bit on the small side. Her chest isn't much to look at, although it isn't that small. Her finger nails, on the tips of her medium length, slender fingers, are cut shorter than most girls would think acceptable.
On her lower right hip she has a birthmark in the shape of a six-point star. Every blood member of the Hinata family has this birthmark somewhere on his or her body. She makes a point to always have it covered up.
Clothing Description: Since Airi is a dancer, she is used to flashy clothes and the yellow dress that Ouran forces their students to wear, just doesn’t cut it for her. Mostly, she dislikes the color, but she also thinks it's just too…conservative for her taste. She finds the white cuffs and collar annoying, and thinks the purple bows clash against the yellow. She also would've rather the white tights to be blue one or black, but that would make it even tackier. And don’t even get her started on the shoes… At her old school in America, students were free to dress as they pleased. She doesn’t understand the need for uniforms at all, although she does think the boys look pretty darn cute in theirs.
Airi doesn’t have a particular style, but she knows what she likes and doesn’t like, what looks good on her, and what doesn’t. Her favorite colors are purple, green and black, so you’ll always see her in at least one of those colors. After school you will normally find Airi sitting in a giant tree in the back yard of her father’s mansion, listening to music, wearing black shorts and baby pink tank top with magenta straps and a bow in the middle of the neckline. She never goes anywhere with her emerald ring. Her mother gave it to her for her 13th birthday, and she hasn’t taken it off since. She likes to go barefoot whenever she can; it’s also easier for her to dance without any shoes on.
When roaming the mall with friends or studying in the library, she likes to wear white shorts, a tight fitted purple short sleeved shirt with horizontal violet stripes on it, a fitted black vest, black vans, and of course her emerald ring. She likes to leave her hair down and sometimes you’ll see a white bow in it.
For practicing her dancing, Airi pulls her hair back into a messy ponytail, she’ll wear black leggings, and either a green tank top, and oversized gray sweatshirt with her left shoulder exposed, or a spaghetti-strapped, lilac dress, which ends mid-thigh.
Personality: Airi is smart. That much is for certain. Not only book smart, but street smart as well. Growing up in the middle of Las Vegas, she picked up a few things. But as book smart goes-she isn't *the* smartest, but she has a good mind on her. School is of importance, and she takes it rather seriously. This is something that many people older than her can find respectable and generally good, especially her Grandfather, who is the reason she has to excel in school. Still, she does not, by any means, obsess over academics. She simply tries her best, and with a good effort put forward, she can accomplish great things.
Another thing very important to her is dancing. She tries to remind herself that school out-ranks her dancing, but in her heart, she would rather dance all day and night, than do anything else-especially study. Of course, she sometimes skips out on studies to get just one more run-through in. Dancing is her passion. No doubt about it. She lives within dancing and it is the best drug she could ever have. Her favorite types of dance are lyrical and hip hop. Her other hobbies include reading, a good video game, writing, listening to music, pulling pranks on others and hanging with her friends.
Generally speaking, Airi is the quiet type. When around people she doesn't know, she likes to say as little as possible. She doesn't go out of her way to avoid social situations, but she doesn't particularly go out of her way to get mixed in with a crowd or be involved in something where there will be a lot of mingling. Once in a crowd, however, she tries to be courteous and kind to everyone with words and small actions, like opening the door for someone. This is why she is generally like-able socially.
Airi is also dedicated and determined to a fault when it comes to things that matter to her. She never likes to let anyone down, least of all herself. People sometimes read her confidence in herself as arrogant, but that is not the case, far from it, in fact. Airi may be strong-willed and a little show-offy at times, but she is truly a genuine person. She doesn't like being harsh on others, although her thoughts would say otherwise. Towards others, Airi is sincerely supportive and patient.
She is humble and modest when someone compliments her, although it may feed her desire to be praised and fawned over. She always puts others and their happiness before her. Sometimes she may be a little too genuine and offend someone, but, once noticed; Airi is quick to apologize and is ready and willing to make up for it. She is generous and loves to help out wherever and whenever she can.
All this is very difficult to read on her because she keeps a tight lock and key on her emotions. There are few instances where she will let her guard down, mostly around her father and close friends and when she is dancing. Crying is a definite no-no for anyone to see. Airi does not have a soft, meek voice of a shy person. She is very confident when speaking to someone and as sweet as she can manage.
There are things that Airi simply cannot stand. She doesn't like it when others suffer for any reason. She jumps at the chance to help out, even if it was her fault. She hates stuck-up know-it-alls who simply have to be in charge of everything and always have to be right. Airi detests when people spy on her especially when she is dancing, for although she loves to dance, she doesn’t let just anyone see her do it. She has no patience, what so ever for rudeness.

The quality of life ;;
Parents: Mother - Avery Hinata - 38 - Professional Dancer, currently hospitalized
Father - Ren Hinata - 40 - Owner of Hinata Fabrics: a major Fabric Manufacture and Supply company
Siblings: none
History: According to Kyoya’s little black book, Airi is nothing more than the American niece of the head of a major Fabric company, who received a dance scholarship to Ouran and is living with her Uncle during her schooling in Japan.
But you will come to learn that there is more to Airi than meets the eye. You see Airi is actually an illegitimate love child. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here; let’s go back to the very beginning…
And it was Love.
Ren Hinata was the only son of the head of the Hinata Fabric Company. When he was 25 he became engaged to the woman of his dreams, or so he thought. About three weeks before they were to be wed, Ren had to leave on a business trip to Las Vegas, Nevada to discuss business with a new client. On his last night in Sin City, he decided to catch a late show. That was where he saw her, the beautiful dancer, the women of his dreams, Avery. He came up to her after the show, and it turned out to be love of first sight for both of them. Within 24 hours they had gotten married in one of Las Vegas’ many wedding chapels, and, although they didn’t currently know it, were pregnant with a baby girl. Ren knew his father would never approve if he left his fiancé for a showgirl he’d only know for twenty-four hours. So he flew back to Japan the next day, alone, but not without promising to return for his love. Two weeks later he got married to his first fiancé.
The plan …
Ren soon found out that his ‘real’ wife had a condition that prevented her from becoming pregnant. And his father was pressuring him to produce an heir for the family. But how? About a week later Ren received a letter from Avery saying that she was pregnant with his daughter. And that’s when it hit him. He could tell his wife that he had found a surrogate mother, and all they would have to do would be to implant a fertilized egg. He flew Avery out to Japan to ‘apparently’ have the have the egg implanted, when really it would be his and Avery’s daughter. Avery agreed to let Ren and his wife raise their daughter, as long she could be a part of her life.
…and its failure.
Avery was about eight and a half months pregnant; when Ren’s ‘real’ wife found out about his affair with Avery and that it was not really her child. Two days before Airi was born, Ren and his wife were officially divorced, and Ren had to tell his father about Avery and his plans to have her and their daughter move to Japan and live with him. Ren’s father was firmly against it. So instead Ren and Avery decided it would be best if Avery raised their daughter in Las Vegas, by herself. And so for the next fourteen years she did precisely that. Except for the yearly pictures, Ren has never seen or spoken to his daughter.
Easy living.
Avery had been doing well for a single mother. She had raised Airi in the city of gambling, drugs, drinking, and sex, and yet she turned out all right. She had kept her off the streets by enrolling her in a dance academy. Airi loved to dance. Even before she could stand, her mother said she would dance (in the way babies dance) along to whatever music happened to be playing.
It’s all downhill from here.
When Airi was fourteen Avery became very sick. So sick to the point where she no longer had the energy to even get out of bed, let alone dance. They family wasn’t the richest people in Vegas, even with Ren’s secret monthly checks he was sending, the mother and daughter were still barely getting by. They need the money from Avery dancing gig at the Casino where she worked. Airi decided to take matters into her own hands, and so for the next 5 months, every Sunday she would go to the Casino and dance in her Mothers place. Until one day the owner found out and fired her. The two had started to become burned with a great debt.
The Day of Change.
On Airi’s 15th birthday she came home to find a man she did not know talking with her mother. Avery smiled and said, “Airi, meet your father.” Five hours of hugs, tears, explanations, and several cups of hot chocolate later, the three were sitting together talking like a perfectly normal family (who hadn’t just been reunited 5 hours ago) would have. Ren said he had come for a reason. His father had recently started worrying about their not being any heirs to the Hinata family, (since Ren is an only child and had refused to get re-married, because he was already technically married) and had come up with a proposal. Avery would be transported to the finest hospital in Japan (which just so happens to be owned by the Ootori family) and would be cared for by their finest doctors. And Airi would live with her father in Japan, and attend Ouran Private Academy. But Airi wouldn’t be able to have any contact with her mother, what so ever. And the conditions were nonnegotiable.
The Decision.
Airi knew her mother would never agree to the conditions. But Airi also knew that if Avery didn’t get help soon, she was only going to get worst. Airi agreed and the next day the three flew out to Japan. Avery was settled in the hospital, within a few hours of touch down. The mother and daughter shared a tearful goodbye.
Today.
That was about three months ago, Airi hasn’t seen or heard from her mother since. Her Grandfather told her that if she does well in school, and eventually agree to marry a man of his choosing, she will get to see her mother again. But until that day, Airi is just the American niece of Ren Hinata, attending Ouran on a dance scholarship.
I'd want to watch this scene forever;;
Role-play Sample:[/blockquote] Airi walked down one of the many marble floored hallways of Ouran Academy, holding her bag in hand and her box lunch in the other. She didn’t want to eat in the dining hall for two reasons: a) she didn’t know anybody and would probably be sitting alone, embarrassed and b) she was fairly certain she was the only student who had a box lunch, and that would just add to the embarrassment. She didn’t want to suffer that much on her first day so she opted for eating in one of the many empty rooms.
She wandered down the hallway, and soon came across a pair of elaborate wooded doors, trimmed in gold, and painted a pearly white, like all the other doors in the Academy. She placed her hand on the gold door handle and slowly opened the magnificent door. She looked inside to find a beautifully decorated hall. She opened the door wider and walked inside, gawking at the many chandlers, famous painting, and extravagant furniture that decorated the hall. She closed the door behind her and made her way across the linoleum floor. Most of the furniture and the rich purple carpets were moved to the sides of the room, waiting to be set out for the next ball, or festival held in its glorious room.
Airi walked over to a plush purple silk foot stool, placed her bag and lunch on it, and pulled it away from the other furniture cluttered around it. Then she walked over to one of the many windows, and pulled back its purple silk curtain, to let in some light. The sunshine brought the room to life, it reflected off the crystal chandeliers, and made the room sparkle. She walked back over to her stool and quickly ate her lunch. The beauty of the room around her made her want to dance, so she rummaged through her bag and found her IPod she had brought with her from America. She found her favorite song and turned up the volume. She got up and began to perform the dance routine she would have done at her old dance academy’s next recital back in America. She missed her old friends, and school, and most of all her mom. But she knew she was doing more good for her mother here, then she would have back in Las Vegas.
The five minute warning bell rang, and Airi quickly gathered up her things. She was going to need every second of those five minutes to find her next class. She closed to curtain, pushed the stool back in place, and walked back to the door. She opened it, then turned around and took one last look at the magnificent room. “This will be my room.” Airi said, and with that she closed the great white door behind her.
