The quality of life ;;
Parents: Father, Mother (deceased)

History: Akumi started out as a joyful child with a beautiful voice, though her parents were often away on business, but that didn't bother her, with her older brother and sister. However, on the eve of her seventh birthday, her parents decided to stay and celebrate. That night, Akumi was playing with her mothers candles in the dining room. One candle fell and caught the house on fire. Both her sweet mother, and kind sister perished.
After the incident, her father didn't speak, and never visited her. Her older brother blamed her for the deaths, and was constantly abusing her (slapping, hitting, cursing at her), and though her father noticed, he failed to act. Akumi, believing it really was all her fault, hid her feelings, and withdrew from everyone around her.
All throughout school she kept away from the other students, and they mistook it for arrogance, and being self centered. However, in truth it was because she believed anyone who got close to her would end up being hurt.
After the incident, she never sang again.
I'd want to watch this scene forever;;
Roleplay Sample: The bell for class rang. Akumi, was already in her seat. She was always in her seat. Nobody really knew when she left, or got there, but she was always there. Before, and after everyone got there. People thought it was strange, but, of course, nobody was about to tell HER. No, she was strange. Rich, and cute, maybe, but she was weird. She didn't have any friends, and she never talked to anyone. She didn't really do anything, so there were only a few rumors on the first day she transferred, like if someone were to put up an uncommon flower. Curious, at first, but now she had just become a part of the classroom. Like the desks, and chairs. Hence, it was that nobody noticed as she faded farther, and farther from the rest of them. Or, as her eyes were slowly drained of emotion.
However, on this particular day, Kaoru Hitachiin did notice something. It was small, something you wouldn't look twice at, but Kaoru was sure he saw it. Could it really be, that as she walked to her next class, she winced slightly? Was she really writing only with her left hand, though she was right handed? And why were her sleeves pulled so far down? Kaoru studied her slightly. She was staring out the window, her eyes darkly clouded, as if remembering something best left untouched.
She reached down to grab something from her bag, and Kaoru gasped. For a moment, their eyes met, and he saw her eyes were filled with panic. Then she withdrew her arm, and acted as if nothing had happened.
Kaoru looked around the classroom, it didn't appear as if anyone else had noticed this exchange. He lightly tapped his pencil to his mouth. Now this, was a problem. It would explain her withdrawing from everyone else, he thought. Something should be done about this, he wondered. He paused, wondering if he had really seen that, Akumi's arm had been covered in dark bruises shaped like hands, and deep cuts that looked suspiciously like nail scratches.
We really must do something about this, he thought again. [/blockquote]
