It was a beautiful, sunny day, the kind of day that made you feel warm and fuzzy and as if nothing could go wrong in the world. If you were one Suoh Tamaki, of noble blood and not afraid to flaunt it, it made you feel even more perfect that you already knew you were, and the warming rays made him want nothing more than to skip the rest of school that day (but he wouldn't, not when they were currently hosting in the fields of Ouran Academy under the beautifully blossoming Sakura flowers) and run off to some far away beach to sunbath and become deliciously tanned...
It was also a day to take advantage of such temperatures and the calming atmosphere, and thus he was perfectly (or else partially) content to stay here and Host the girls in with their delightful smiles and willingness to sop up every sappy (but entirely true) line he spat out. Currently, however, he had no clients and was--although he loathed to say something that the Hitachiin twins would normally whine about--incredibly bored.
Tamaki stood, stretching his cramping legs and strolling through the grass and taking in the sights for a brief moment before his second round of guests came to enjoy tea and wit(less)ty banter that included more of him complimenting them and being all-over hansom and irresistible than anything else really.
And then he spotted Haruhi, talking to the blond girl he recognized as to be called Beni, and as his feet subconsciously carried him over their way, he strained his ears to listen for the general train of their conversation and found it to be centered around one thing that he could easily butt-in upon and both eliminate his boredom and start an interesting conversation at the same time: The Host Club. Which also meant him--one of Tamaki's favorite subjects, second only to commoner's food and his friends.
“As for the rest members, just make sure not to accidentally break anything or you might end up pretending to be a guy and working for the Host Club! Also watch out of Kyouya-senpai. If you do such a thing he might start blackmailing you to do as he says or else he will send you out of the country without a passport.”
Tamaki made a slightly big show of gasping and stopping shot behind her, mouth open and eyes tearing up dramatically. "Haru--hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~!" he whined in a slightly less demeanor tone than he might have used, had they been alone. "Haruhi!! Mommy didn't mean that!! He wouldn't blackmail you!! I mean, maybe he would, but you can still leave the country when you finally get a passport!!! You'll just have to take me with you--so Daddy can see how commoner's travel internationally!!" And he turned from a whimper to a very bright smile and an excited puppy-dog demeanor. "And plus," he continued talking without realizing how possible rude he was being, "Everyone else at this school probably has enough pocket money to pay off the expenses of anything they break."
And he gave both the girls encouragingly bright smiles that seemed to make his background sparkle and he seemingly pulled two stem of cherry blossoms out of no where and presented them to the two girls (one girl, one cross dresser) not stopping to think how possibly gay that looked; he did things like that surprisingly often, and by now the girls of Ouran just thought he was so lovey-dovey and sweet that gender did not matter (which upset a great deal of the students,a nd excited even more).
"But, aside from that!" He turned eyes eager for entertainment and distraction from both his companions. "What are you two up to? Are you having fun at this incrediably splendid occasion? Does the beauty of the blossums and myself blind either of you yet?"

Haruhi while she was enjoying Beni's company she heard it... clearly.. it was loud and it came from the one she loved. It was his voice with which he was saying her name. Moreover she felt quite embarrased because what he said afterwards embarrassed her. She did not expect him to listen to what she was saying and truelly she did not expect him to actually say something that would confirm to the lady in front of her, her situation. She looked at his expression of sadness and then immediately he called himself daddy in front of the girl. Well they were pretending so she understood it, and she knew that the real reason he wanted to take him with her was probably to be with her and she smiled inside but decided to be a little mean-once again.
"Tamaki-senpai.." she sighed "You were here? I did not notice you!" She said and smiled faintly. She didn't like it when he would say that he is her daddy. It was getting more and more annoying but she could not do anything about it so she would just be patient and wait for him to calm down before she would talk. But no she had to say something about it in order to change the going of the conversation. Once though she was about to do so he said what he shouldn't have.
"And plus," he continued talking without realizing how possible rude he was being, "Everyone else at this school probably has enough pocket money to pay off the expenses of anything they break." This was what he had said and Haruhi looked over Beni hoping that she would not burst. She had tried so hard to make her like the Hosts and now with his behaviour he was probably ruined everything that she had strove for. I am going to step on his leg... I can do it, Haruhi you can do it! she kept telling herself but before she was about to do the motion and step on his foot he gave both of them a rose. Instant jealousy made her face go dark as he was doing those weird things again but it was also so funny as he was so overconfident yet again.
“Tamaki-senpai stop joking around! I know you do not mean all this. You are such a humble person!” She said and putting her hand on his mouth she shut him up. “Nanyoshi-san, please forgive the rudeness of this person who was just trying to joke around! The thing I just told you was for you to laugh! I was never threatened or anything!” She started and was doing a battle to hold Tamaki silent. “He can be so cute and funny sometimes!” She started laughing a bit at what she was saying as she was also sweatdropping. “He knows that his beauty is not blinding he is just trying to cheer up the conversation!” She made and excuse for him and then let him breath and for just an instant gave him a dark glare and then smiled. “Right, Tamaki-senpai?” she asked beaming a bright smile at him that made her look cute as always.
She knew that maybe this wouldn't fool the blond sitting in front of her but she just had to take the risk and act out of this situation that Tamaki put her in. “Well, anyway, now that we are all here, would you like to stay here while I will be bringing that expensive chair? I want Nanyoshi-san to sit on it since she is the most beautiful girl here.” she said and ran to bring it. It was an expensive chair. She was afraid but then , she knew that nothing would go wrong therefore she carried it from the backyard back to the table smiling to both of them as she was looking around for the rest of the hosts.
It was a heavy chair but she could make it, there was no need for anyone to help her and she was right, she was closer to the table than she thought and right when she was three meters away from the table she could no longer hold it and put it down to rest. “Tamaki-senpai... can you help me please?” She asked making that cute face of hers that sparkled while the roses decorated her background as always and those were real roses from the rose tree behind her. It was one of those Haruhi moments that would make anyone hug her because of the cuteness she emitted. It was natural. She had made Tamaki senpai hug her many times whenever she had that face.
Haruhi knew that she was not the stunningly beautiful girl, and she knew that she was not special but she was happy that someone like her started becoming special for the man that she loved. Because she did love Tamaki, and at such a moment she hoped that he would come to help her with the chair. While a second passed from when she said the previous line and had those thoughts she opened her mouth to speak again. “My hands can't carry it anymore!” She said keeping up the cute face as she rested her hands on her knees taking small breaths.
[ooc: beni break the chair away, it is time for the breaking to happen i suppose? ]

Hearing the girls screaming over Haruhi gave Beni quite a shock, she hadn't expected them to suddenly start screaming. It had surprised her that such high class women would act in such a way. Surely there was a more dignified way of showing their affection for Haruhi? Then again, not much surprised her anymore when it came to this Host Club. Already thanks to Haruhi, she had learned so much, all the members seemed a little strange, and the way they acted gave the impression that they were breaking class traditions, so it was only understandable that the customers would be the same. "I imagine it must be hard to deal with at times, I can't stand screaming myself, I don't know how you put up with it." She wasn't trying to be negative, just truthful. She wasn't fond of hearing people scream, especially not in this way. If you were scared then fair enough, but other sort of screams were just annoying and hard on her ears, she much preferred silence.
It was good to hear Haruhi had a better relationship with his father then she did. But Beni as curious as to why Haruhi's father would be so concerned for him to hang out with the Host Club. True enough, they were a strange bunch, but Beni couldn't see any sort of danger for Haruhi. For Beni, it seemed unnatural for a father to follow his son everywhere, and to make such a statement that he would kill himself? It was cruel and selfish, if her father said something like that, Beni wouldn't accept it. "If you don't mind me saying, why does he act like that? Seems a bit unusual for him to treat his son like that."
The added advice on Honey was unnecissary in Beni's opinion, she was hoping to never get herself in that situation. After all, she was hoping to not see the Host Clun again, at least not as a regular customer, she wasn't entirely interessted. An event like this was okay in her opinion, but seeing these men every day seemed like a waste of time. An even then, she wouldn't request Honey, it seemed harsh, but he just wasn't her type, and she didn't want to end up insulting him. True, if she got to know him she might see differently, but for now she was content in staying clear of him. As Haruhi once again gave her some advice, Beni found herself confused even more, what on earth was Haruhi talking about? "I don't think i'll need to dress up as a man, I have money to pay off such things." When did the Host Club do this? Or was Beni's first assumption about Haruhi wrong? Rather then being Gay, was Haruhi infact a girl?
Looking over at Kyoya, Beni began to wonder what kind of person he was, already he had interessted her. Their time together in class had made her curious to get to know him. He was an intellegent person, that much she had gathered, but he was a mystery to her. She couldn't understand why a man like him, form an elite family would partake in such a club. Surely he would find such a thing to be a waste of time? Or maybe he wasn't what she expected, Beni had learned from the few weeks that she had attended here that people weren't always what they seemed. Maybe this was the case for Kyoya.
Hearing another voice join them, Beni jumped in surprise, she hadn't seen Tamaki join them and his sudden cry had startled her. Blushing, she started playing with the ends of her hair, hoping that her reaction would go unnoticed. Tamaki's manner of speaking to haruhi was rather annoying, he was treating Haruhi like a child. And who was 'mother', was Tamaki talking about Kyoya? She prayed that he wasn't, she was sure that Kyoya wouldn't like such a title. But she decided not to say anything, this was a conversation between Haruhi and Tamaki, she had no right to interject.
As Tamaki presented her with a flower, Beni accepted it with a smile, he was certainly a charmer, she already knew that. In class he was forever charming the women, so she didn't expect this gesture to be anything special, but she still felt herself charmed at the gift. He was the first guy to really notice her in that kind of way. Of course, if she was wrong and Haruhi was a guy, then he would be the second, but through her recent coversation with Haruhi, she was now certain that Haruhi was a girl. "Thank you Tamaki-kun." She said as she sniffed the flower, taking in its scent.
She let Haruhi talk first, giving an explanation for his behaviour and her previous warning. Apparently it had been a joke, but Beni wasn't completly convinced. The damage had already been done, but if she was right, she would keep it a secret. Obviously Haruhi was hiding her, or his gender for a reason, and Beni had no right to reveal it. She would just go along with it, and pretend that she didn't know. She was good at concealing information from others, and even better at making people think certain things, so this wouldn't be too hard. "The cherry blossums are indeed beautiful, this is a wonderful event you have put on Tamaki-kun." Smiling, Beni held her toungue to say something about Tamaki and how arrogant he was being, obviously it was something he did and she just had to accept it. After all, she had at least two more years in his class, she was sure she'd see a lot of this behaviour, she just had to accept and get used to it.
As Haruhi excused herself to get a chair, Beni felt very concious, people were now looking at her. It was embarassing enough to be called the most beautiful woman here and to get special treatment, but now everyone was staring at her. She didn't like it at all. She didn't need to sit on this expensive chair, what she was sitting on was comfortable enough. She didn't want the rest of the girls to become jealous, it would probably lead to a few of them resenting her, and that was the last thing she wanted. As she spotted Haruhi struggling with the chair, she was compelled to go help her, but Haruhi had requested Tamaki, so she stayed seated. Besides, she wasn't that strong, she would probably only make matters worse.
"No" Beni thought to herself, "I can't let that stop me. I am strong, I can easily help Haruhi out, it's the least I can do for Haruhi being so kind." Getting up off of her seat, Beni went over to Haruhi and smiled. "Here let me help you, you've carried it all this way, I can take it for the last stretch." Placing her hand around the chair, she smiled at Haruhi, indicating that she could let it go. "It's the least I could do."

He would have begun to sulk (Haruhi didn't notice him!?!?! His beauty was NOT blinding!?!?!? Oh woe is him!!) and complain loudly, but then there was suddenly a hand over his mouth, keeping words inside as Haruhi seemed to explain away his actions and seemingly carried on the conversation he's intruded upon.
And then Haruhi smiled at him, and the blond Suoh thought his heart would burst--but it didn't, just reduced his mind to a state of mush that would not allow him to speak coherently. He could only listen as Haruhi offer to bring out an expensive chair that would make Beni feel like the most beautiful girl there. He was about to spew lines--truthful lines--about her not needing an expensive chair to be the most beautiful girl there, when his assistance was requested in bringing the chair out.
"Oh..." His brain, suddenly a solid (surprisingly) again, kicked into action and he followed Haruhi like a slightly dejected puppy before brightening considerably. "I'm glad you're enjoying this event, Beni-kun! It was put on solely for the enjoyment of glorious young princesses such as yourself--but it wasn't all me! Mommy helped, too! And--oh, wait, COMING, HARUHI!!! DADDY'S COMING!!" And he gleefully skipped after her to help drag the high backed chair imported from somewhere he couldn't remember across the lawn.
It was heavy, and as they half-dragged and half-carried the piece of furniture from it's hiding place, he began to want to complain, but bit his tongue. It seemed unnecessary to bring out a special chair for a girl to sit in if she was already pretty enough without it, but his audacious commoner incognito-girlfriend had mentioned something about Beni feeling the part of a princess, and Tamaki was not about to argue with the mentality that girls seemed to have--they needed to feel the princess, even if they were one already in his eyes. It was a comfort zone.
"Here let me help you, you've carried it all this way, I can take it for the last stretch. It's the least I could do."
"Nonsense, pretty maiden!" He made small grunts of attempted lifting. "We--intend to pamper you and--" It was, actually, incredibly heavy. Tamaki paused. "Well, if you insist to help...."

Haruhi was already so tired and her hands... she could no longer feel them. Panting a bit she saw that Beni was approaching her and she was about to offer help but Haruhi could not possibly accept help from a guest so while she panted she managed to say. "Let Tamaki-senpai" She said and touching her chest she rested there. She knew that Tamaki-senpai would not in anyway let her lift it because it would not be good for the reputation of the members. The right thing would be that she would carry it or she and Tamaki. But unfortunately.. .she could no longer feel her hands and therefore it was impossible for her. "I would not call for help..but.."she said in a sad tone feeling very bad for making Beni approach her to help. Tamaki then opened his mouth to speak. "Nonsense, pretty maiden!" Haruhi heard him and smiled feeling more relaxed that he would try to lift it "We--intend to pamper you and--" she saw him trying to lift it. Well it seemed like it was impossible but then Tamaki-senpai said what Haruhi did not expect to hear. "Well if you insist to help.." her eyes opened widely and leaned inviting him to also lean and put his hand in front of his mouth so she would not be able to read lips. "Tamaki-kun is this ok? What if she can't? I say we make her sit here.. just here." She whispered to him blinking and hoping that she was not heard he had tried her best to whisper very silently so that only he could listen to her she had even brought her lips closer to his ear so that she could whisper in an even more silent tone. Yeah I know... but .. my muse

Beni couldn't help but smile at Tamaki, despite the fact that he was, in some ways, rather annoying, he was charming and very kind. She was amazed at how he made her feel special. She kew such an event couldn't have been put on for her, she was new and relativly unknown. But the way he spoke to her about the event, made it feel as if it were all just for her. And she couldn't help but blush, it was rare she felt this special, and although she was content in keeping in the background, it felt nice to be treated like a princess. Maybe the Host Club wasn't so bad after all, at least not the members she had met so far. Despite the rather ill nature of the club, they so far seemed relativly decent people, and Beni felt slightly guilty for judging them so quickly.
As Tamaki left to help Haruhi, Beni saw a few girls smiling at her, they appeared to be following the movements of Tamaki, clearly he was the object of affection for most girls. And if Beni was truthful, she could see why. Although she was attracted to him, she was able to appreciate his good looks. He was rather handsome, and had interessting eyes, she had never seen someone with that colour before. And she guessed in this country it was rare for people to have blonde hair, so it did make him rather special. But her opinion on his looks were mearly observations, she didn't feel anything for him. She could see them getting along, but anything further was out of the question.
Deciding to help Haruhi and Tamaki out, as they were clearly struggling, she smiled as they finally agreed to let her help. After all, if Haruhi was able to carry it, then surely she could too. They were both women, or so she assumed and from the look of Haruhi's build, they probably had similar strengths, so it wasn't a big deal for her. She could easily carry it the last stretch. It was only a few paces away, hardly anything. "Come now Haruhi, there is nothing wrong with women acomplishing tasks for themselves. I see nothing wrong with me carrying this chair. Besides, I can hardly sit in the middle of nowhere can I?" She laughed giving Haruhi a playful wink as she took the chair.
As she steadied her grip on the chair, she soon saw, or rather felt why Haruhi and Tamaki had struggled, it truely was heavy. Why on earth would someone attempt to move this about? Surely it was more sensible to leave it in one place rather then carrying it everywhere? Or did they usualy have someone stronger to carry it? And if so, where on earth was he? "Keep it together Beni, just a little further!" She was rather impressed with herself, she wasn't really able to see where she was going, and she wasn't the strongest thing on the planet, she was in fact, rather weak, but she refused to let Haruhi and Tamaki know that.
As she neared the table, she felt her grasp loosen, as she tried to reafirm her grip, she felt something stub her toe and she began to fall. It all seemed to happen in slow motion, she began to fall forward, and as she did, she was unable to hold the chair any longer. Her eyes widening, she felt herself continue to fall. Watching as the chair hit the ground, she let out a small cry of panic and confusion as she landed on the chair. The only sound that ringed through her ears, was the sound of a cracking, a sound of the chair breaking. "Oh no."

He gaped, watching as everything seemed to happen in slow motion and speed-up at the same time. The chair. Beni. Haruhi. Himself. The chair. The broken chair, which lay crumpling under the weight of the blond girl who had tripped and caused for the chair to be pulled out of his grasp. The audible sound of wood crunching and fabric ripping reverberated throughout the Sakura Auction courtyard, and everything seemed to still (although admittedly, no one but them seemed as concerned about the accident as the three involved, and most of the other guests turned back to their chosen host who had no choice but to continue hosting as if nothing was wrong.
The chair...the chair was broken...Completely destroyed, beyond the point of repair and, for some reason, a strange sense of deja vu overwhelmed Tamaki as he stood frozen for a matter of seconds, just staring. It seemed...well...It was...He couldn't...
Speech managed to find him before thoughts could completely formulate in his mind. "Are...are you okay, Beni-kun...?" he asked, kneeling down next to the lump of yellow school dress and wooden fragments, attempting to resist a flinch at the mess and chaos. He gulped a bit, but managed a smile, mind whirring as he extended a hand to lightly touch Beni's shoulder as if for reassurance (for both himself and her) that she was alright. "That looked like it hurt..."
The voice in the back of his head that sometimes spoke in Kyouya's voice kicked into gear. 'Why is it that every time you meet a girl, she ends up breaking something of value', and then it seemed to pause and think before continuing in a more miser tone with; 'well, debt is always a liable means to enslave another dog'. He gulped, thinking. If people already knew that Beni was a girl, there was no hope as dressing her up as a host and passing her off as a boy to work off the debt in their club, but at the same time, it didn't seem appropriate for her to pay off a debt in any other form--she had broken something that belonged to the club, and would have to work it off in the club. It was just how things worked in Tamaki's head.
The Suoh heir sighed loudly and longly and reaching out a hand to pull Beni to her feet kindly. His violet eyes closed and he looked downward, shaking his head with a sense of pity and indecision. "Well...What a shame...That chair was imported, specially for this event. I realize this was an accident but..." And here e was having flashbacks to when he had demanded that Haruhi be their dog to pay off the vase she'd broken, but plowed on seriously. "...But we're going to have to insist that you pay this off--one way or another."

Haruhi saw the girl taking the chair. Everything were fine and when they least expected it Haruhi's brown orbs saw something that reminded her of the time she was asked to become the dog of the Host Club. She hated him..back then there was nothing in her feelings but dislike for ruining her life. Maybe she was dramatic back then but those were exactly the feelings she had. And there was no way that she would allow the young girl have a debt because of her. No way!
And now that she was thinking it more clearly it was her fault for insisting on bringing the chair out. The debt should go to her. The moment Tamaki asked the girl if she was okay Haruhi spoke almost simultaneously. "Are you hurt Nanyoshi-san?" and then looked at Tamaki. She knew what he was thinking. She could smell it...it was a debt. Sooner that she thought he would mention it... Tamaki had already said it :"Well...What a shame...That chair was imported, specially for this event. I realize this was an accident but....But we're going to have to insist that you pay this off--one way or another." and Haruhi went closer to him and looked at him in the eyes with a convincing look on her face.
"Tamaki-senpai it is my fault. Just put the debt on me! I must pay it off because I am the one who brought it." She said nodding to him and hoping that he would agree to it and just let the poor lady free from the bonds of a debt. Haruhi could realize that this would bring her in a bad position towards her father...and who knew if he would accept to pay off the debt for her. She nodded to him in a way that she was showing she did not mind. More or less her natural talent would kick in and she would be able to have enough guests asking for her. It would be over in less than a year or a year and a half.

She heard the chair crack underneath her, it sounded so loud. She could hear nothing else but the chair breaking. As she lay on top of it, panic running through her, she looked around her, expecting to see everyone looking at her. She was half right, a few people had come to see what had happened. She felt so embarrassed; and guilty as well. She could tell that the chair had been expensive, one because of everyone's expressions, and two because this was Ouran! They wouldn't buy some cheap piece of nothing, of course they would buy something expensive. And she had just broken it! She was going to be in so much troube with her father, he'd would find some way of making it seem like she had disgraced the Nanyoshi name, and she probably had. She had ruined a chair that the Host Club used, a club which had some of the most powerful families at its core. What on earth had she done?
Hearing Tamaki.. no, Suoh-kun's voice startled Beni ever so slightly, and she suddenly realised that she was actually in pain. Looking at her hand quickly, she noticed it had gotton cut from the fall. Most likely there would be a splinter in there knowing her luck. His hand on her shoulder was somewhat comforting, but she couldn't help but remember Haruhi's words. Would the Host Club make her pay for this in a way she knew she wouldn't like? She hoped not, even though she had broken the chair, it's not as if she had meant to, and she had tripped over, it wasn't as if it had done on purpose.
As Haruhi asked if she was hurt, Beni clenched her fist and smiled, she didn't want to cause more trouble then she had done already. "I'm fine thank you.". She hoped that they would leave it at that and not worry too much about her, she really didn't need them fussing over her after what had happened. She just wanted to clear the mess up and get to the nurse's office as soon as she could. She was so embarrassed by what had happened, but she refused to allow herself to get angry or cry. She was a young woman, and she had to deal with this as an adult. She was slightly worried though, sure, she could easily use her father's money to pay for the damage, but she didn't know how much it was, and she could hardly use it without her father noticing.
As Tamaki spoke, Beni stood up and brushed herself off. She understood what he was saying completly, and she wasn't about to complain. But before she could answer, Haruhi seemed to protest and offer to pay the debt. Now that was out of the question, Haruhi didn't have the money to do that, and she wasn't about to let Haruhi take the blame for this. "Peace Haruhi." Beni said smiling softly. "Do not take the blame for my mistakes, that will only make me more upset. I am responsible for this, not you, and I refuse to let you pay the dept." Beni began to think to herself what she would do, she could use her money or her father's money to pay the debt, but for some reason, she felt dirty for doing it, her father would be angry, and she knew it was a cowards way out if she used the money. Back in England, if something like this had happened, she wouldn't have used money to pay for it, unless her mother offered to pay fo it, instead she would have used other methods. Why should it be any different here? "I will work off the debt Suoh-kun. I'm not going to take the easy route and use my father's money. So... how much do I owe you?"

Post by Ootori Kyouya on Aug 30, 2009 17:05:26 GMT -5
The day was nice and everything to be about perfect. It was a fresh new start for anyone who wanted to change something about themselves on a day like this. It was a day like this, that seemed to give people more courage and faith to do things that they had never done before. It simply was just that simple that the day could get into their heads and make them want to think something else. It was just nice and sunny. It was the typical bright and cheery day that made you just smile and jump up with glee, but not everyone did that. There were always exceptions to the rules, always something to cause all of the smiles and happiness to go away.
Work. Work. Work. That was a pretty bad word, though it was easy to say. Work was always something that needed to be done, and it was absolutely necessary to get done. Without work, the balance of everything would fall apart, and there was definitely no room for procrastination. It was a simple idea that Kyouya Ootori seemed to come up with himself. It was a mind frame that had been set practically since he had been born, and he quite liked to follow this guideline for it kept order and peace within everything that seemed to ever happen to him in his life, and that was always a good thing to have order.
Chaos was bound to happen. It always did, and nothing could ever stop it. It was just his luck though to be surrounded in chaos, and not to mention stupidity, though it was also some stupidity that made him the man he was today, and he was grateful for that, though he would never actually ever admit that. He smiled to himself as he seemed to look perfect in the lighting of the sun, and it seemed to just make him look radiant, though he always seemed to be glowing with beauty. He was simply stunning, and of course he always had to look sharp. When he looked good and sharp it made people respect him, and see him with a good light.
It was today though that seemed to make Kyouya wonder what was going to happen, for he had a strange feeling that deja vu was about to happen, and it was going to be something big, bad, and ugly, of course he could find some way to twist the situation around and even benefit for it too, and that was a sure thing. He seemed to let his eyes close slightly as he listened to the relaxing noises of the outside world, the sounds that were quite common, but the ones he rarely got to listen to. He smiled a bit more as he thought of what he was going to do now. The club was already having quite a success with the sale, and it wasn’t too hard to sell off all of the cookies and chocolate to the customers when they would buy anything from the hosts. The girls that came to the club were definitely naïve, but he respected them too, for they also helped to provide money for the club, and he never could resist making a benefit, as long as nothing negative came back on him.
He sighed softly as he heard a soft squeal from some of his own fan girls that crowded around him and watched him do anything of the sort from his own work, and he as simply quite satisfied with getting the girls happy and smiling. That was a main goal of the Host club though. It was to make the young ladies who visited the hosts happy and smile. He turned to a few of them and smiled slightly as he pushed his glasses up his nose slightly in a charming and sexy manner if you could even put it like that. “Hello,” he greeted casually. He already knew who they were and their family and everything about them, though he knew that all along, and was satisfied that he knew so much about everyone in the entire school; except maybe the transfer student. He knew a bit about her, though he seemed to want to learn a bit more so that he was satisfied and thought that he knew everything. He listened when the girls squealed from just his voice and he sighed. It was a bit annoying to get that, though he wasn’t the most popular, (not like he wanted to be the most popular anyways), he still got his fair share of fans for being the cool type of the club.
He smiled warmly at them. It was the perfect thing that he did as a host, and it made everyone else a lot more happy. He let his gaze move to them as he opened his mouth to speak. “So, my dearests, how would you like me to help you today? Maybe you’d like some lovely chocolates as sweet as yourself, or maybe you’re interested in purchasing one of the clubs famous magazines.” He held up a copy still smiling. It was just too easy for him to make a profit for the club by doing this, and a dazzling smile always seemed to win over their hearts. He stared in their eyes now, and this set them off squeaking with joy and they simply bought chocolates, cookies, and a copy of each magazine he had to offer. He tied the boxes neatly and handed them over to the girls smiling lightly as they handed over the money for the club to pay off the debt for Tamaki’s costumes and odd ideas. When they left giggling, he seemed to sigh slightly as he wondered what everyone else was up to.
His gaze moved across the area and landed on the new girl who had now been acquainted with Haruhi Fujioka, and it just made a feeling of unease move into him as he saw Tamaki join the group. He swore wherever that boy went, there was trouble, maybe that was why he had gained the nickname of idiot from him. He kept his gaze focusing on the scene, and he literally was lip reading everything that they were saying. His gaze never moved from them, and then he just sighed. Why on earth did they need to bring the chair out!? That was pure stupidity right there, and then he felt his stomach flop slightly as it hit him. Maybe this was the trouble that he had been sensing from the very beginning?
His gaze narrowed now into fine, thin slits, and he cringed as he watched the event happen from a distance and he even heard the loud noise. His dark demeanor seemed to begin to fill the area. The demeanor that gained him the title of Shadow King seemed to reach everyone’s hearts. He took in a deep breath, then exhaled it as the angered male seemed to let his feet carry him to the scene. He kept his gaze sharp, and he growled at Tamaki when he saw him. “Baka desune!” he hissed. He turned now to Haruhi and Beni. It was just an aggravating thing to know that he was going to have to deal with all of this, and that he would have to budget all of this out, but then again, this would be a good time to get another helper in the Host club. Of course she would have to do it. He smiled slightly in a smug manner as he let his gaze slip past Haruhi and land on Beni. He kept a dark smile on his lips as he spoke casually, his words a bit frightening and intimidating, yet they seemed to be iced with coldness, but also at the same time a tone that you could just listen to. “Tamaki is right. You will have to pay off this debt. How much do you owe us you ask?” He grinned. Any number would be able to be used, so he let the amount flow from his mouth. “2.3 million yen.” The iced words doused the scene with the large amount of money. “Seeing as you probably wouldn’t want to take money from your father, I find it that you’ll have to become the host clubs dog, and,” he let himself turn to Haruhi. “As much as I find it partially your fault for insisting on bringing the chair out Haruhi, you were not the one who broke it, though if you both would like to be charged with the same debt, I have no problem at all with that.” He smiled a bit evilly, but let his words sink in to everyone’s minds ad he waited for their dynamic response.

One Ootori's Kyouya's entering hiss was almost enough to send the self proclaimed 'King' into his well-claimed corner for a good fifteen second period of sulking, and just as he was about to take his childish exit (jumping animatedly into the corner and then poking at some protruding mushrooms as the camera zoomed in on his back, sniffling about 'Mommy doesn't love me anymore... Divorce... Broken families...') the brunette, bespectacled boy continued talking, answering the women's question. And, upon the end of his best friend's informative speech that - in all honesty - seemed more informed than his simple 'you'll have to pay for that', Tamaki felt almost stricken, and even more dramatic than before
Sniffling as unneeded and almost magically appearing tears gathered in the corners of his eyes. He moved to fling arms around Haruhi and Beni's shoulders, clutching them perhaps a tad bit too hard to be comfortable before bringing his 'charges' in, toward his chest in a vain attempt to protect them (for what, he did not know, nor really want to - but it just felt appropriate). "Oh, my darling tomato flowers!" he exclaimed, using an old English term of endearment that seemed to only thing to muster all his feelings in as few a words. "How tragic!! The two of you - its simply heart wrenching! It is a wonder than the modern world still has places for slaves to the rich, beautiful and fabulous even if they go by much more acceptable - yet still degrading - names! Oh, the sorrow! The indignity! The inhumanity!!! The horror! My darling sparrows - My sweet children! My androgynous daughter and wonderfully awesome blond daughter!!!" Barely even pausing for breath, the blond Suoh pushed the two away from his body and held them at arms length, imploring his seldom seen (and at the moment, rather inappropriate) serious face.
"Do not worry, my darling, God-placed-on-Earth-for-others-to-enjoy-our-beauty-charm-and-wit human beings! I shall not allow your names to be sullied by such an insult as your monetary stature! It was an accident, after all! A purely human flaw with no rightful punishment or judgment to be placed in, around or against your innocent consciouses!" A pause for a seemingly infinitesimal breath. "I mean, who is really at fault? No one!! Absolutely no one... even though it was Haruhi's idea to bring out the chair....And...Beni-kun did drop it..."
The weight of what he had been saying suddenly dawned on Tamaki, as did his sense of justice and righteousness. Glancing at Kyouya over their heads, the boy nodded toward the two girls (one in drag, as it happened) and asked in a completely sidetracked voice that bore no relation to his pervious tone or speech. "Can we make her our maid, and force her to dress up in lolita outfits while she serves us tea and cleans the Third Music Room?"

Haruhi blinked when beni denied Haruhi taking the debt for her. It was really nothing for her but apparently Beni did not want Haruhi to take the blame and she could understand it. She nodded silently and turned to Tamaki. "You were also partially holding the chair!" She mumbled but did not say it out loud. He was making her a little mad. Maybe she did love him but sometimes he was just a little...how could she say it...she was trying to think of the word while Kyouya stepped in their conversation like a perfect crow waiting for the moment to strike and take the corn.
Haruhi totally ignored him for a while till he said something about she also paying the same amount as Beni. She eyes Kyouya and then Tamaki in a cold way. It was not like her to get mad but over such a thing she would. Tamaki was making her go more mad. Now she was an androgynous daughter! At that moment she remembered the words that Kyouya used. He said that a fine lady like Beni woud become the Host Clubs dog and then Tamaki said something even more degrading for Beni.
"Kyouya-senpai, Nanyoshi-sama won't become a dog for the Host club!" She said and took the girls hand. "And nor will I allow her to wear the lolita outfits for your eyes!" She said looking at Tamaki in a very angered look. As if she would allow him to do such a thing to a poor girl. Plus she was a bit jealous but of course she would not allow that. "You made your daughter very sad!" She said giving a sarcastic tone to the word 'daughter'. She looked at Beni and smiled. "Just a normal maid will do. You do not have to wear lolita dresses we are a Host Club, the guests will also be jealous of you a lot. I am sure some of those men won't hold their eyes away from your figure my lady!" Haruhi said to her and then let go of her hand. "Do not worry. I will protect you for those weird boys!" She whispered and then went to Tamaki. She made a move with her finger inviting him to lean so that she can whisper to him.
"It is for the best of the Host Club if she just wears a maid outfit. If she starts looking cuter than our guests they will be jealous and we will lose money, tell that to Kyouya-senpai." She whispered to him and then continued. "and you will also won't see the happy faces of the girls." She added and then turned her back to him and made a few steps towards Beni smiling. "Now shall we go find an outfit for you?" She asked giving her a bright smile. She liked shopping and if there was a way for her to catch the sales then she would gladly take it.
I should make a mental note to keep being mad at Tamaki-senpai for the rest of the week. Maybe I should just break up with him. The last thought was a knife to the heart but she kept having it in the back of her head. It was not just because he was calling her daughter or androgynous daughter but mostly because of the way he spoke without realizing that some things should just be kept silent. I do accept that he was a bit cute but still I will act mad for a while! she thought and then just waited for what Beni would say.

Post by Nanyoshi Beni on Sept 9, 2009 14:04:49 GMT -5
The sudden arrival of Ootori Kyoya shocked Beni, it was as if he could travel at unhuman speeds. One moment he had been at the other end of the field, the next he was here, standing over her, with a look that could only be described as demonic. It was frightning to say the least, and Beni could tell quite clearly, that her clumsy nature was not a good thing. Then again, it wasn't as if she could help it, she had tripped over whilst carrying a heavy chair. She wasn't able to see what was in front of her, she had to carry the chair with trust that she was going a safe direction. She could hardly be blamed for helping out could she? Sure, the Host Club could easily turn around and state the fact that a lady such as herself shouldn't have carried the chair in the first place, but she saw no fault in lending a hand, she wasn't as lazy and snobby as the rest of the girls, she wanted to make her own way in the world; where she didn't need others to tend to her every need. She couldn't deny that it was rather nice to have servants to answer her beck and call, but she had promised herself not to turn into a rich heiress, she wanted to continue life like it had been before coming to Japan, and no amount of money or servants would change that.
Confident in the fact that the amount wouldn't be too much, and that she could pay half of it with her father's money and work off the rest, she allowed Kyoya to tell her how much she owed. Upon hearing that it was 2.3 million Yen, her heart almost exploded from shock. "2-...2.3 million Yen?" She asked, trying to verify the numbers and also checking that she had heard it right. How could this chair have cost so much? Was Kyoya adding interest onto it? If so, she wasn't impressed. Even if the chair had been imported, and was made from the finest materials, 2.3 million Yen was a lot of money, almost too much to believe. He had to be adding extra, but Beni wondered why he was doing it, did he get pleasure out of such things?
At his assumption that she wouldn't let her father pay for it, Beni got rather angry and returned the cold stare he was giving her. She was more annoyed that he had been right, but she still didn't like him assuming such things. "Why do you assume that I won't ask for my father's help? Do you think i'm that desperate to be a part of your little group?" She snapped, a slight growl in her voice. She didn't often snap at people, she tried to stay as calm as possible, but Kyoya had rubbed her the wrong way. "Decpite that, I won't be using his money, because unlike th rest of you rich snobs, I prefer to use my own recources rather then sponging off of my father, which is probably more then I can say for you." It was probably a little too harsh, but Beni didn't care. Her relationship with her father wasn't good, and such accusations just made her feel concious about it. Such accusations made her feel like it was obvious that the two didn't get along, and she hated it. Though she had shared with Haruhi her feelings towards her father, things were a lot more complex then that, and her fear of what her father's reaction would be, and Kyoya's accusations had tipped her over the edge.
As Tamaki started flayling about, Beni found herself getting more wound up, she didn't need his hyper personality right now, it wasn't helping matters at all. And she wasn't a tomato flower, nor was she a slave. She could just about handle the idea of helping the Host Club out, but not as a slave, and certainly not as a dog. No one owned her, not her father, not Tamaki, and certainly not Kyoya. She belonged to herself, no one could control her or make her do something she didn't want to do. Of course, with such a huge dept, she had little choice but to pay it off, but that didn't mean she was their slave, and she wasn't going to allow Tamaki to be her father either, she already had one father she didn't want, she didn't need another annoying father. "I'm not your daughter." Beni replied pushing Tamaki's arm off of her. "And I am no ones slave." Crossing her arms, she felt the sting of the cut on her hand and bit her lip to distract herself from the pain and to stop herself from reacting to it. The last thing she needed was to draw more attention to herself.
She was getting sick of Tamaki's attitude, and it was taking all her will power to not slap him or be rude to him. Her father wanted her to be on good terms with the Suoh's and Ootori's. And why? Simple for his damned buisness. Her father had shared certain information, and she knew it was best not to say anything bad to Tamaki, after all, his father was the chairman, and if she upset him, he could easily get his father to remove her from the school, and she didn't want that. She had no where else to go, she wasn't prepared to attend St. Roberta's, and her father would most likely refuse to send her to a public school, so she had no choice but to hold her toungue.
She was glad that someone was sticking up for her, and Beni gave Haruhi a warm smile. She wasn't enjoying the idea of wearing a lolita maid outfit. She would have most likely looked rather good in it, but she didn't want to be exposed like that. She didn't want the Host Club's members to be perving at her, seeing things she didn't really want to be seen or exposed. But at least Haruhi agreed with her, just saying it made Beni more determined not to wear anything as exposing as that. It would be a lie if she said she didn't have good looks, and she had nice curvs to her body, but that didn't mean she wanted to show it off. Her body was for her husbands eyes only; whoever he would be.
"Thanks Haruhi" Beni answerd with a smile, she was truely thankful for Haruhi's defense, she didn't know what she would have done if Haruhi hadn't been here. "I don't know about making the girl's jealous, but I don't want these perverts looking at me." Looking over at Tamaki and Kyoya, she began to wonder if her previous frustration had been wrong, but thinking back to how insulted she had felt, she decided it was best. Kyoya had to know that he didn't own her, and that some silly dept wouldn't make her do what he wanted. "However, concerning Haruhi, I won't allow my dept to be placed on anyone else, I wil take all of the blame on myself, and I will pay off your stupid dept all by myself."

Knife after metaphysical knife jammed itself into Tamaki's heart with every word that the two girls said against his wonderful ideas! No, really! A knife! And invisible knife! And the blond dramatized this with ample sound effects before pausing. (He'd visited the corner of depression too many times that day - it seemed a bit repetative to continue keep slinking into that same spot. So, instead...) Tamaki took the puppy dog, approach, violet eyes watering a bit as he fisted his hand in the front of his own shirt and leaned dramatically on Kyouya - seemingly for support in his time of physical exhaustion and broken heart. He pouted, and sniffled, and shrunk away a tad bit whenever either girl looked at him; almost as if their gazes (of disgust and anger which didn't really bother him as much as they should, but definately squeezed at his heart more than his grandmother's glares did) were physically hurting him.
Maybe he should refrain from calling Beni and Haruhi his children for a while...It seemed to make them mad. And mad women were scary women... This was a fact.
But, aside from that, what was really wrong about being in the Host Club, even in a minor position? Most of the girls in Ouran would kill for the chance, and yet - as it seemed - the only two that actually did work for the group of wealthy boys were possibly the only two in the school...No, scratch that, the WORLD that didn't! He, honestly, didn't know if that was lucky or not, but he would occasionally enjoy it just a bit more if the object of his affection/desire/fatherly adoration didn't seem so adverse to another girl joining their exclusive little group as a maid! In fact, that was probably what they would have made Haruhi at first, had (Kyouya clued them in) anyone had known she was a girl. Now, though, he was secretly glad that they hadn't; otherwise this wrath would have been long-withstanding and focused more directly on him.
Taking a deep breath and still sniffling a bit, but with a look of awe-inspired resolve on his face, the blond Suoh heir finally released the (now) somewhat wrinkled collar of his shirt and pressed his palm over his heart, bringing up the right hand to cradle the veiny back of left. "Beni-chan..." he bayed benighnly. "You're so...so...brave!! I...I...You truely are a wonderful person not to take advantage of others, nor relying upon them to pay off your debts!!" He spun on the spot, and even managed to sparkle a bit after being so verbally abused. "I...I guess -sniffsniff- What would you like us to call you, then, even if you would be preforming the same generic tasks as a maid. And I take it...you don't want the pretty pink outfits that people from my estates wear..." he trailed off, leaving lots of room for the others the join in -or force in - their opinions.
((If I wasn't supposed to skip Kyou-kun, I'm sorry. But Char and Crys kept encouraging posting ness...))

Haruhi noticed that Tamaki was sad.. she felt angry at herself for making him sad but she was also angry at him for making her sad so apparently it was making them even. But stuilll that face of his was making her fell so bad. She started feeling that maybe between her and Beni ... secrets could be kept and she would be able to consult with her about things with him and her. She made a mental note to talk to her about it later. A girl as a friend was not a bad idea! She was surrounded by guys only as friends and now having someone like her close was fun. She would have to do a good explaining about why she pretends to be a boy though.
Beni, even though it was partially Haruhi's fault wanted to take the blame on her and pay all the debt. She did not agree with it but if she continued then probably it would make Beni feel insulted so she decided not to say anything. Instead she smiled gracefully at her bowing her head slightly. She was truely very brave, and if she was not afraid of Kyouya's evil looks then probably she was as strong as Haruhi was and it made her feel that she was not as different as she thought.
Tamaki's words though came after it making her chuckle at how he managed to sparkle even if he was stabbed by her words many times. Haruhi hoped that he would also apologize to her too but it was just something that would not happen. It was at times like those that she could not understand how her mind worked when it came to someone that she was in love with. Why was she completely different from before? At times like that he was happy that she could hold back the sadness from being expressed with tears.
"Nanyoshi-san, since you are a member of the Host Club now, come with me, I am going to give you a decent uniform, because I assure you that if you leave it to the hands of the twins you are doomed to be wearing sexy maid uniforms, the moe type!" She said showing with her eyes to her how scary that was and she just hoped that she could get it!.
