As soon as classes had finished for a mid day break, giving students the chance to eat, chat and go to recreational activities, Beni had made her way outside. She was still new here, so she didn't really know what she wanted to do. She'd been given a list of some of the activities and clubs she could join, and so far the only ones which interessted her were the Classical Music Club and the Writing Club. But she hadn't signed up for them yet, it was her first day and she didn't want to dive head first into anything. She knew very little about how things worked around here, and until she learned more about Ouran and became accustmed to it, she wasn't going to join anything.
It was a rather beautiful day, though she'd already acknowledged this fact, she couldn't help but think about it over and over again. It was rare that England was this sunny, and she had been told that it often rained in Japan. So to get weather like this was amazing. Of course, she had been in Japan for some time now, but to have her first day at Ouran on such a beautiful day was just...wonderful. If she believed in luck, she'd probably say that luck was on her side, and that her days at Ouran would be good. But she didn't believe in luck, nor did she believe in fate. Such things were hard to believe in when you'de seen so much evidence against it. Besides, she was religious, just like her mother was. Luck was said to be from Satan, why would she bring more harm to her family then what already existed?
As she walked through the gardens of Ouran, she felt her thoughts drift toward her mother. Since being in Japan, her mother had fallen ill. She had caught Meningitus and Japanese Encephalitis. She was in intensive care, and although Beni prayed almost every day for her mother to get better, it seemed she wouldn't. She was already in a coma, and although the doctors were doing everything they could, Beni was worried that it wouldn't be enough. She had already watched her brother die, she was not prepared to allow the same to happen to her mother. She'd be all alone in the world if her mother died. True, she had her father, but he was a sorry excuse for a father, he didn't care about her. They resented each other, if her mother died, there would be no one to stop him.
As she continued her exploration of the gardens, Beni found herself facing two hedges full of roses. Taking a map out of her bag, she saw that this was the maze. Putting the map back, she clung onto the strap of her bag, wondering whether or not to explore the maze. It would be interessting, but if she got lost she'd find herself in trouble, especially if lessons begun and she was unable to attend them. Then again, she was intellegent enough to get herself out if needed, she'd just trace her steps. Deciding it only best, for exploration purposes, she entered into the maze, excited to see what was in store.

With classes finished for now, it was a relief to get a break. A break was something that one would learn to treasure at Ouran, or at least if you worked full time on managing a club. Or, in other words, the Host Club. It was always stressful, but Kyouya always found himself working out things for the club during his free time, and it was stressful, it was almost like extra homework, but he didn’t seem to mind. It was more or less something that he planned to manage anyways. It kept his skills sharp, and he liked to keep them in fine tip top shape. If they weren’t in shape, then he would be the idiot, he would be the fool, and he certainly couldn’t have that. He had to be the top and the best, and he would show his father that he wasn’t the least deserving of the three sons as the youngest.
Clubs at the school were all a joke compared to the Host Club. The Host Club would always be the most popular, and the most talked about, especially with Tamaki the flamboyant “king” of the club being there. He knew that Tamaki would draw attention, though Haruhi had brought in a lot more customers when she had come, though he didn’t quite care anymore as long as they made a profit, for the Host Club needed to earn the money to pay for all of Tamaki’s ridiculous ideas. They just seemed to annoy him more and more. It was pretty easy to manage though, and he did have to put limits on the foolish boy. God Tamaki acted like a five year old, and that was stressful to deal with too as well as the Host Club, but maybe that was another reason why he preferred to not have all of the attention focused on him.
With it being a nice day, Kyouya decided to not go into the Host Club and sit around, yet he had the mind set to avoid Tamaki so he wouldn’t get stuck playing one of the stupid “commoner” games that he enjoyed to play constantly. He shook his head slightly as he thought back to some of the stupid things Tamaki did at the school, though Tamaki always could get away with it, and it was pretty easy for him to do that too. Kyouya walked down the stairs his feet making almost no noise at all, almost like a cat creeping down the stair case, for he didn’t want to be noticed. He glanced around when he found himself walking down a hall way at the ever so spacious Ouran High School. It was something he was used to, so he went along the halls ignoring any of the fangirls who simply squealed when they saw him. He didn’t mean to be rude, but tried moreor less to look busy.
He exited the school now, his gaze looking into the azure colored sky. It simply was extravagant, and was something that one could get lost in. He held his laptop in his left arm. He would find a shady area to work in and probably budget at, and it would have to be an area that he wouldn’t be seen in too easily also. If he was found too easily, then Tamaki of course would drag him into a foolish plan or idea. He let his eyes close for a moment as he stood there and took a deep breath, breathing in the flowery scents of the outside world around him. He was trying to think of where to go, so he let his mind wander in it’s own memorization of the outside of the school about where he could go that was more or less hidden.
He smiled slightly as the rose garden maze came into his mind. That simply would be the perfect place to stay for a while while he worked on matters for the Host Club, and maybe also he could find out some more information on the new transfer student, for he had to know all the information about every student at Ouran, and he was positive that he would get this information memorized sometime today.
He took off now as he strolled casually towards the rose garden maze, and he tried to look as busy as possible so he wouldn’t be stopped. He sighed slightly as he finally made it into the maze and he let a small smile cross his face. He was free now, and could now relax for a bit and hopefully not be bothered. Of course he knew this maze like the back of his hand, so knew exactly where he would go in there to relax and work on matters and events for the Host Club. He moved in the maze quickly and casually, but paused when he sensed another presence nearby. That was funny, he didn’t think someone was following him, but he could never be sure. He shrugged. If he was being followed he would simply imply that he was busy, and had no time whatsoever for fun. He turned to the left sharply and paused when he saw the new student. Maybe she was lost? That was the first thought that came to his mind. Of course she had to be lost, she was new to the school, so it was normal for bad things like that to happen. Kyouya walked closer to her and cleared his throat slightly so he could get her attention. “Excuse me, Nanyoshi-san, are you lost?” he asked, an inquiring look consuming his face. He waited for her to respond before he did anything else.

The maze was more fun then Beni had hoped for, the smell from the roses was absolutly amazing, she had little knowledge of Roses, she knew names of various roses, but not what they looked like. She had a very basic knowledge of flowers, and only knew certain types because her mother had grown them in England. She had mostly grown Ayrshire roses, a rose that had originated from Scotland. But occasionally her mother had brought something more exotic. Her mother had loved growing flowers in their garden, she had been so good at it. Unfortunatly, even though her mother had given her so many tips, she hadn't inherited her mother's green fingers. Flowers never lasted her long, a week maximum, but she always ended up killing them.
So Beni found it rather soothing to walk in the maze, it brought back memories to her. They said that the senses could bring memories back, simply by seeing, hearing, tasting or smelling something familiar, and that whatever it was, would bring back memories. Sometimes they were good, whilst other times they were bad. Beni was happy enough to relive these memories, the memories of her mother desperatly working in the garden everyday. Beni had often come home from school to see her mother in the garden, or at least dirty from working. Her mother had often smelt ever so slightly of soil on those days, and Beni was surprised to find herself missing those moments. At the time the smell had been offputing, but now she realised that she missed it.
Sighing, Bei walked deeper into the maze, turning at almost every gap, trying to find the centre or a spercific point in the maze where she could stop. She'd heard rumour that there was some seating in the maze, with beaitiful flowers decorating it. And although Beni was rather fit, she was slightly lazy and felt the need to sit down. Of course, she wasn't so dignified to stop her from sitting on the ground, and she was very tempted to as well, but she thought that she should at least try and find this place in the maze. That way she would always know of a good, secluded place to come when she wanted to be alone with her thoughts.
As she came to a cross road in the maze, she looked down each section, turning right she soon found herself at a dead end, retracing her steps, she decided to carry on straight, to what would have been her left a few minutes ago. Happily, she found herself not reaching any dead ends. However, that wasn't to say there wouldn't be any, but she felt like for now, she was on the right path, and that made her feel happy. She liked to excell well in things, even if it was something as simple as a maze, it gave her a gratifying feeling knowing she was going the right way.
Hearing a voice to her left, Beni stopped in her path and spotted Ootori Kyoya from her class, and she couldn't help but wonder why he was here. Had he followed her in here? Or like her, was he simply exploring the maze in hopes to collect his thoughts. It was possible that he enjoyed the maze, and hopefully, the fact that he had been here longer then she had would mean he could help her. She wasn't lost in the sense that she couldn't find her way back, she hadn't even attempted that yet. But she was lost in the sense that she couldn't find what she was looking for. "Ootori-kun" Beni replied bowing in respect. "I'm not lost in the sense that I cannot find a way out, but more in the sense of being unable to find something." Smiling, Beni waked over to Kyoya to join him. She didn't know much about him, apart from what her father had told her of his family, but she hoped that being in his class would enable her to get to know him better.
