It was lovely sunny day outside so many students of Ouran Academy had deiced to take advantage of this lovely day to eat there lunch outside. Yet one student was not eating his lunch no he was standing over near the the fountain. His hair was blue and he was holding a violin in his hand and held it under his chin and he playing it. The melody he was playing was both beautiful also a bit sad. Yamazaki Yukio was this boy name he was student of Ouran and he was very talented musician. Even though this melody was sad he still enjoy playing it since it was his favorite one to play on his violin. The other students who were near where he was just listen to him play.
Yukio really enjoy music very much since it brought back some of the happiest memories in his life. It had been his mother who had gotten him into music. Yet there was another passion of his mother introduced to him that was art. Yes he truly loved art and he was very talented at. usually at lunch time he would have been some where quite drawing something in his sketch book that he always seemed to carry with him. Yet today he wanted to play his violin there just something about today that had made him wanted to play his violin. So he continued to let the bow move across the string of the violin play the same melody.
His eyes were closed as he play since he did not need to see to play. No he had play this melody so many time remember it well so he did not need to see the violin to play it. Mostly it was girls who seem to be watching him play since well many though Yukio was a very handsome boy. Yet Yukio never really though anything like that about himself. No he was a very humble person and he was not most super social person in the world. Most of that was due to that that many were jealous of his talent in music, art, and school work. due to this jealousy he was bullied by other student and yet he never fought back against being bullied.
No he felt there was no reason to sink to that level since it would just make him a snob like them. So he just took in stride not letting bother him. Yukio continued to move the bow across the violin let people enjoy his music. Yet before he had started playing he had enjoy eating his lunch that had been made by his butler Alphonse. Alphonse always made the best food and was the only person Yukio had living with at his home. His father was always away for his job and even when he was home he pay no attention to Yukio. So Yukio never really cared his father was gone. Now he just kept play his violin as other student watched and listen to him play. He show no sign off stopping playing his lovely, but sad melody.

The melody first drew Taki to the fountain. The notes seem to tug a string on her heart. It was so beautiful but it also had a sad emotion to it. Who ever was playing, was the perfect musician in her opinion. Of course, she doesn't know much about music. Although it did spur a little something in her. Something that gave her the new inspiration she wanted. It was so powerful she left her lunch under the tree and walked right over to the fountain, notebook and pen in hand.
Her steps were light and a smile glistened on her face. She was almost happy enough to giggle. Then, she saw the musician. Most girls would consider him quite handsome, but that was not the reason why she was there. Taki sat right in front of the boy with no hesitation. The notebook opened to a blank page and words started to be inscribed on the paper. Her hand flowed without hesitation from one line to the next.
She hadn't had such inspiration for her writing in a long time. She wrote nearly a page in just half a minute when she finally slowed down. Her head rose and looked up at the boy playing the melody. She hated to interrupt him, but she couldn't help but say, "My, my. What a beautiful sound. You should be quite proud. I wonder if you are good enough to be a professional?" she asked only herself, but she still wanted the boy to hear. After all, she believed he was that good. Her hand and eyes then focused back on the page, to work on her latest idea. The story let her mind wonder. She was barely in touch with the world now. Her mind only thought of her story and the characters in the story. You could say she was at total peace.

[ADMIN NOTE: Make sure your post is in third person past tense. At time it slips into present tense] Beni leaned against the tree with her eyes closed. She could hear the sound of a violin being played. It was such a beautiful sound, it had a sad undertone, but it only made it more beautiful. The way the music filled the air was spectacular, it made her think of her home in England, about how she both was glad to be away from it, but also missing it terribly. Her brother had paid the violin and he had taught her. But since his death, she'd hardly touched it. She couldn't imagine herself playing the violin, and even if she did, it probably would sound horrible. She was out of practice, and to maintain a high level, you had to continously play an instrument. But playing the violin was too painful for her, even after ten years. She just couldn't face that pain, she was too much of a coward.
Opening her eyes, she ran a hand through her hair and looked up at the clear sky. So far her first week here at Ouran was turning out to be rather unusual. So much had happened so quickly, she could hardly pinpoint what exactly had happened. It frustrated her to no end, she liked to have a clear head, and didn't want to be confused over anything. And yet she was finding herself confused over her place here at Ouran and the future path that she had yet to walk down. But sooner or later, she knew she'd have to swallow her fears and just jump, otherwise she'd never achieve anything here. She couldn't let past events stop her from her new life here in Japan. She just had to take this oppurtunity as a chance to start afresh and be the person she'd always wished to be, but never could be. This new life was a chance for her to be an entirly new person, logically, there was no reason to be nervous, and yet for once, Beni was ignoring logic.
As a small gust of win picked up, it brought some of the water from the fountain with it. The water was refreshing and Beni smiled at the feeling. It was a rather warm day, which was why she was under the shade of a tree, but it appeared that the water had a more cooling effect. Getting up, she brushed off some of the dirt on her uniform and walked nervously towards the fountain. She was well aware that this was where the violin player was, and she didn't wish to hear it's sound any louder then she could already hear it. The memories of her brother were too painful for her to cope with. Especially happy memories like the ones she was fighting from appearing in her mind. She did all she could to only think on the good times, but it always made her sad to think that she'd never be able to see her brother's smile again. The two had been so close, and she'd never really been the same without him.
Sitting on the edge of the fountain, she looked at the blue haired boy who was playing the violin. He was rather good looking, but not really what she was in to. Besides, she wasn't at Ouran to get a boyfriend, she was here to learn. Relationships would only hinder her from that, and she had to do her best at Ouran if she even had a hope of inheriting her father's buisness, which was unlikely. Her father was very old fashioned, he'd never give a woman his company. He'd probably marry her off and sell the company, either that or he'd try and raise an heir. But Beni was determined to prove to her father that she could be trusted, so she couldn't let anything get in her way.
As another girl commented on the boy's talent, and Beni nodded in agreement. The girl obviously knew a bit about music, either that or she just thought it sounded good. "She's right, you have a definate talent." Beni added quietly, not wishing to interupt either of them. "How long have you been playing?"

Yukio continued to play his violin letting the bow move across the string. The melody stay the say not changing much at all as he continued to play. He was so at peace as he play the melody he was always like this when he play. It was common thing for him to get lost in the music and not notice anything going on around him. Yukio had not even noticed the girl who had wounder over to him and stated down in front of him and start writing. Though as he continued to play he could hear the sound of her writing even with the sound of his music in the air.
Yukio did not even stop playing when he herd talk loud enough for him to hear. yet he did her what she said she that his music was a beautiful sound and that he should be proud of his music. He was rather happy to have the talent he had for music. Music was just so wonderful to him he felt it was a way to express his emotion. Since well when it came to trying to express his emotions to other he really was not good at that, but with music he was. The next thing he had herd said made him wounder as well was he good enough to be a professional musician. Yukio had never though of that for a career for himself since there had been another career he wanted.
That career was to be a an artist since art was something he enjoy as much as his music. Yes art was important to him since it was something he had inherited a talent for it from his mother. Still it not seem impossible that he could not do both music and art as a career that was something he would have to think. As kept playing his music he herd the sound of another female voice yet this one was much quieter than the one before. This new voice must have belong to a different girl who had wounder over to him like the first one had. Hearing her she told him that the other girl was right he did have a telnet for playing. He could help, but smile a bit as he continued to play.
It made him fell happy that others seem to enjoy him play and were not bother by him playing. Then he herd the second girl ask him how long he had playing which made him finally end his playing of the melody. Opening his eyes he looked in front of him to see the girl sitting there writing. Turing his head his blue eyes looked to see the girl sitting on the fountain not to far from where he was standing. He knew she had been the one to ask him the question how long he had been play. "Oh umm well I have been playing for about ten years." Yukio said to the blond haired girl his voice was not very loud compared to most people it much softer and quite. Sitting down on the fountain he set the violin in his lap and reached for the violin case to put his instrument away now that he was finished playing.

Taki then gasped out of the shock, "Wow! Ten years! You must be a professional! I could never last that long on just one thing," a smile erupted from her lips as pure awe passed through her. 'Hmm...this person is quite interesting. I may learn more than I intended to when I approached him. What a nice outcome.' She thought to herself. Suddenly, her attention was once again grabbed to her notebook and her writings as her eyes caught the edge of the paper. Her hand quickly picked up the pen and scribbled down a few words at the bottom of the page. It was just to finish up the work she started in a general summary, for she did not intend to leave the story alone. Then, the pen was placed on to the ground besides her. Each of her hands was gently placed under the notebook. She took in a deep breath and slammed both sides of the paper in a loud, unnecessary, slam.
With the notebook neatly tucked under her arm she stood up in a quick motion and looked over to the other girl who was also at the scene, "That is a long time, is it not?" she asked almost confused. Honestly, she had no idea what she was talking about at all. Music wasn't her strongest point, and that was for sure. Although one thing she did know was that he was amazing, and that is all she really needed to know. She also intended for them to become friends. Of course, she knew that doesn't always happen but she thought it would be nice. Her intentions were almost always pure.

It was pleasent to be sitting beside the fountain, it was a lot cooler then sitting in the shade, and the way the light bounced off of the water made it sparkle so brightly that the water almost looked like jewles. She just loved how great the weather was out here, it was far better then England, she didn't miss the rain at all. She thought she might, but then again, she'd always preferred the sun to the rain. Although rain was relaxing and soothing, she'd rather be warm and dry then cold and wet any day.
The melody wasn't something she'd heard before, and she wondered if the boy had come up with the melody himself, if so, then he definatly had a carear ahead of him. She'd probably be able to help out in some way. Her father's company, or rather the music side, was always looking for fresh new talent. It was the best way to keep up with the world of media, and it was the most effective way of gaining money. Find a talent, make it big, sell it on with a few rights so you could still gain money and go onto the next talent. Of course, some big corperate stars they kept, but it was always good to keep a look out for something new and different. Although it'd be unlikely that she'd inherit the buisness, she could at least proove to her father that she knew the buisness and was worth a consideration.
"Ten years huh?" Smiling, Beni turned her head to face the young boy and smiled. Though the music had stopped, she could still hear it ringing in her ears, her mind processed each note, each change of tone and pitch. It truely was a remarkable piece of music. And as someone who'd been brought up around a musical and film lifestyle, she was able to easily analyse what she had heard without stressing herself out. She could pinpoint each chord, each note that had been played. Some people had considered this strange, but she saw nothing wrong with it, it showed she had an active mind. "I used to play violin a few years ago, but I mainly stick to Piano, Guitar and singing." She could play a few more instruments, but there was no need to brag.
As the other girl asked a question, Beni looked carefully and the blue haired boy and smiled. Ten years wasn't long at all, not for the violin. There was at least eight grades when you were being taught, and each grade took at least a year, sometimes longer. And it wasn't untill the fifth or sixth grade when your violin playing actually started to sound good. It was a difficult instrument to play, you had to be dedicated to carry it on. No doubt the boy knew this, she was pleased to see someone who'd stuck it out. "Ten years isn't that long, it takes at least six to learn how to play it properly and get a nice sound out of it." She explained to the girl, there was no point in keeping her in the dark about it. She seemed just as interessted as she was.

Yukio had finished putting his violin away in its case and closed the cased. He herd the reaction of the girl who been writing when he said that he had been playing for ten years. She was surprised by the amount of time he had been playing. it was really was not that big deal since the first few years he had learn to play he was not very good it was not till after had been playing for at least six years that he was actually good at playing the violin. She also said that she could not last that long at one thing, but playing the violin was not the only thing he knew how to play. Yukio also knew how to play the piano which he had been doing for less time that violin he had only been playing the piano for about eight years.
Reaching for his school bag he reached into it and pulled out his sketch book and deiced he would draw something. Taking the drawing pencil in his hand he flipped through his sketch book till he came to blank paged and started to work on a drawing. As he started drawing he herd the other girl talk and mention him saying he had been playing for ten years. yet she did not make a big deal out of like the other girl had. So it seemed she understood the it took a long time to be come good at playing the violin. Still even with having a good passion for music it was not his number one favorite thing in the world.
No his number one favorite thing in the world had to be well art. Yes he loved to paint and draw things. It just made him fell well really happy when he was drawing or painting. Listening he herd the other girl mention that she use to play the violin yet that now she stuck to playing the guitar. piano, and sing. Yukio like to sing himself, but he never did in front of other people since he did not think that he had a good singing voice. He knew he should have try to get over his fear of sing in front of people, but he just couldn't work his courage up enough to do it. So for know he just deiced to keep the fact he enjoy sing to himself.
Then he herd the girl tell the other one ten years was not really that long explaining that it took at least six years before you playing of the violin became good. Yukio keep his focus on his drawing letting the drawing pencil in his left hand move across the paper. He was drawing a dragon which was one of his favorite things to draw. "Yeah it not really that big of deal like she said it dose take a long time before you become really good." Yukio said he knew that he was being modest since he was really talented at playing which was the song he had play was proof of that. Then he felt like that maybe he should introduce himself since well he had not learned ther name yet. "And I am Yamazaki Yukio." he said to them as he kept drawing. If either of the girls deiced to look to see him working on his drawing they would be able to see that he was very talented at that as well. So he waited for them to tell him ther name names since he had told them his.

Taki felt very stupid when she was confronted with the two. She knows nothing about music, and that is very obvious from her comments. She now wanted to learn more, just so that she could figure out what they meant by many things. Art and Music was defiantly not her strongest points. Obviously, the young girl and the boy were very skilled in their trades. It made Taki want to be good at something else besides being stupid or writing, but she knew that day of some discovery of some hidden talent would never happen within her lifetime. She resisted to let out the long sigh that was hiding within her chest.
Suddenly, she heard the young man talking again. She had to snap back into reality. "Oh, Yukio, huh? My name is Hitomi Taki. A pleasure to meet you!" Taki sprang up to her feet and she looked at the young gentleman, "I hope we can be great friends," Taki then turned to the other mysterious girl, "Well, we are just missing your name now, aren't we?" She let out a smile. Honestly, she was pretty scared about meeting these two new people. It was in a much different situation than she normally meets people. She didn't mind it, it just felt unusual to her. After all, usually she meets people by getting them involved by their stupid stunts, not by listening to some boy and starting to write. It was much nicer, and less painful, than usual.

As silence began to fall, Beni sighed and closed her eyes as she rested her head on one of the collums that sprouted off of the fountain. Her mind flooded back to days when she used to sit and listen to her brother, silently standing before her as he played a soft melody on the violin. Occasionally, he would sing along, soothing her to sleep and calming her frantic mind. She had always been somewhat frantic, she'd worry too much about things, and after her years of being picked on, it had only made her worse. But listening to her brother had always calmed her down, and given her strength to face the next day. Hearing the sound of a violin after so long, though it was painful, was also refreshing. It had been quite a while since she'd remembered her brother so...vividly.
Opening her eyes, the image of her brother dissapeared and Beni looked into the water. Dipping her hand in, she marveled at how cold it was. It was strange that as children they learned how things felt, everything was new and exciting, but as you grew, such things became second nature, so much so that you hardly ever noticed what the wind felt like, you didn't have to question what it was, or why it was doing it... you just knew. Yet now, she found herself wondering those very two thing. What was water? What made it cold...and why?
Taking her hand out, she rubbed her fingers together and once again sighed, she had to stop over analysing things. It wasn't good for her, she'd gotton ridiculed for being brainy in England, she couldn't let it happen again. True, in Ouran, there were loads of intellegent people, she was in the top class after all! But she was still holding back, afraid that history, like it always did, would repeat itself. And she had no one to help her, her brother was dead and her mother was in hospital. And she couldn't rely on her father, he was too occupied in his work to ever care for her. The only time he really spoke to her was to scold her, he mostly addressed her with actions.
Opening her school bag, she got out her notebook and quickly jotted something down to remind herself of something she had to do later. Quickly, she put it back in her bag and pulled it close to her body. The notebook was private, she wouldn't allow anyone to peer into what was written inside. Not even her closest friend had seen it's contents, they were for her eyes, and her eyes only. The contents of the notepad were personal and sensitive. Beni found it hard to openly express herself, so she did it through her literature and her music, writting down an occasional thought or feeling helped her to create material. It was all she knew how to do, after everything that had happened, she'd closed herself off to protect her fragile heart. What choice but this did she have?
As the girl addressed her, Beni snapped out of her thoughts and stared blankly at the girl. Her mind retraced what had been said previously. Although she'd been thinking, she'd been listening to the conversation aswell, and as he backtracked, she remembered that the two had introduced themselves and were now waiting for her. "Oh." Smiling, Beni loosened the grip on her bag and held out her hand. "I'm Nanyoshi Beni, it's a pleasure to meet you."
