Physical Appearance:
Beni is, in her opinion, rather plain. She has been called beautiful before, but refuses to believe it. Her nose points slightly upward which she feels makes her look like a bird and she has freckles and wear glasses when unable to wear contacts. She is rather self-conscious about her appearance, and tends to see the faults more then the attributes. For one, Beni is rather thin for her size; she stands at around 5ft 8 and weighs only around 9 stones. She has been accused of being anorexic many times, but if you see her eat you'll know it's a different story. Beni is also, rather large chested, which she finds both good and bad. It's good because it gives her shape, but bad in the sense that she gets back pain from time to time, and has in the past had complete strangers try and hit on her.
Because she is from England, her skin is a lot paler then some students because of this have teased the other students, and her. She is naturally pale and the only real colour that is seen in her face is if she blushes. The completion of her skin compliments her light blonde hair, which falls down past her shoulders. Her hair isn't completely light blonde; there are darker shades within it, creating a very interesting hair colour. The darker colours in her hair help to bring out the beauty of her hazel brown eyes, if she's wearing glasses, then these are hard to notice. But when she wear contacts, it is clear that her eyes are her best attribute
Beni has a scar on her knee and her ankle from an accident she had when she was six years old. She fell over and broke her knee and ankle. Because of the damage done, she had to have an operation to correct it. Beni hates her scars because it reminds her of the event and the pain she went through. She is however, thankful that she had the money to pay for the operation, and is happy that her leg is still good and strong.
Unlike most girl her age, Beni doesn't wear that much make up, any she does wear is natural so that it doesn't stand out. The most she'll wear at times is a small amount of eye liner and some mascara. She believes that makeup masks true beauty and that it's a waste of time and money. She used to wear it a lot, but got tired of having to scrub it off of her face.
Clothing Description:
Whilst at school, Beni wears the Ouran High School girl’s uniform. Overall, she doesn't enjoy wearing the uniform, for many reasons. One, it's not her colour at all the yellow of the dress is so bright that it dulls her hair. She doesn't like how the shoulders are slightly padded and stick out; it makes her feel uncomfortable and makes her feel like she has big shoulder. She does however, like the thin silk bow around the front of the dress. She feels it compliments the colour of the dress really well. She also likes the way the dress begins to spread out at the bottom, although she never admits it, it makes her feel like a princess in a story. But over all, she doesn't like the look of the dress, and prefers her uniform in England.
When her day at Ouran finishes, Beni usually changes immediately into loose jeans or combat styled trousers and puts on a low cut top with another top underneath. She enjoys wearing clothes of the latest fashion, but only if it suits her style. She doesn't like to appear posh to people, she has survived most of her life without silk dresses, so doesn't feel any need to start wearing them. She is comfortable in what most would consider 'commoner' clothes and sees nothing wrong with wearing them.
Personality:
Beni is a rather quiet and reserved person. She prefers to stay in the background rather then be the centre of attention. This is mainly due to the fact that she finds it hard to make friends and has in the past been bullied. So because of this, she finds it hard to talk to people and often finds herself stuttering and stammering when talking to people for the first time. She has a deep desire to leave a good first impression with people, but is unsure how exactly to do that. This reserved nature is the reason behind her difficulty in making friends, and she is trying to work through it.
However, once she gets to know someone, it is as if a flame ignites within her. She becomes open and warm and very charismatic. It often surprises people to see her like this, but nerves often get he better of her, but this nervous exterior melts away once she begins to trust someone. There is a slight reluctance to her character at all times, but that is only because she fears that if she trusts the person completely, sooner or later they'll let her down or betray her.
It is fair to say that Beni is rather stubborn and strong willed. She doesn't like to be told what to do and often objects to things, which she has no interest in. If in an argument, it is very unlikely that she'll back down until she wins. This is an attribute she received from her father, and often finds herself angry at this. She cannot help being stubborn and wishes that she could let things go once in a while, but she seems unable to. She'll have a joke about it with her friends and often tries to brush it off as a common human flaw. But her stubborn nature can sometimes be used for good, if she feels the need to do something to help someone else; she'll ignore everyone's rejections and do it anyway. She has a deep passion for helping others, and won't let someone suffer if she can stop it.
It is no surprise that Beni is intelligent, after all, she is in Class A. She has a sharp mind and often gets top marks in her work. She is able this knowledge quickly to analyse any situation she finds herself in. She keeps a rather cool and calm head if she finds herself in a predicament, and uses her intelligence to work out what to do. Her intellect can annoy people at times but she is unable to help herself. This intellect can sometimes come off in the wrong way, especially if she analyses a person and gets it wrong.
Because of her father's business [Manager over film, music and games and Insurance] she has a deep passion for the dramatic arts, and secretly wishes to become an actress. She is a talented musician and can play the piano, the guitar, the violin and the flute. She is also able to sing but needs a lot of practice in this area. She keeps her talent a secret because she is worried what people might think of her.
People tend to assume that Beni doesn't like going out to places, and that she fears people. But this is a wrong judgement, Beni loves going out and adores shopping with friends. As for her fears? Well, she doesn't like spiders, and only really fears them if they're on her, her main fear is closed spaces and heights. So all the rooms in her house are large in size and she rarely goes up tall building unless it's necessary.
Best Memory:
Beni's best memory is probably when she played the piano for the first time. She was only five years old and felt such a rush of freedom from playing the instrument. She has a deep passion for music and is glad that she approached the keys and began tapping them. If she didn't, Beni has no idea what kind of person she would be. Music is her higher power, it's everything to her.
Worst Memory:
Beni's worst memory is probably loosing her elder brother Alexander. The two were very close and Beni respected him and cared for him deeply. Loosing him was very painful for her and she is unable to get over the tragedy. She wears his ring to remind herself of him and to keep him alive in her mind.

History:
Beni was born to Nanyoshi Akira and Seraphone on the 26th of September. She was born in the posh area of Surrey on a warm autumn night. Her brother; Alexander was ten years old, and it was a rare occasion for the family because Akira attended the birth. Beni's father is a famous manager dealing with companies in the film, music and games industry. He also was a manager for insurance companies, so he was very rich and powerful. Because of this, he spent most of his time in Japan, visiting Seraphone whenever possible. Seraphone, being English herself didn't wish to move Japan, she had friends and family and was looking after her father. So because of this, Beni hardly ever saw her father, and hasn't got a real connection with him because of that.
Although Beni's family had a lot of money, they didn't flaunt it about, so they lived in a simple four-bedroom cottage in Surrey near to London. Beni's room was opposite her brother Alexander, and the two would often sneak into each other's rooms during the night to talk and to watch TV. Because of this, the two established a close bond, and became best friends. The two would look out and protect one another, and Beni had deep respect for her brother. He would tell her stories about their father and would teach her Japanese and gave her a head start in her education.
When she was four years old, Beni was in a music store and saw a piano. Approaching it, she banged on the keys and found herself enjoying the sound. Her father had been with her at the time and decided to buy it for her and to pay for lessons. Since then, Beni also took up guitar, violin and the flute. She is more musically talented then her brother, and has a real passion for it. Beni feels a sense of freedom whenever playing an instrument, and feels it's the best way to express how she truly feels. For he, music is the window to her soul, and she sees it as her higher power. Receiving the piano was her best memory, and she still has the piano to this day.
Beni eventually started a grammar school in London, being rather shy, she didn't interact with the other children that much. In lessons, she picked up things quicker then most because of her brother teaching her at home. Sadly, she was labelled a geek because of this and was often teased. This caused her to become withdrawn at school and even quieter. She refused to tell anyone about it in case something took a turn for the worse. She eventually began to contribute less to classes and she found herself walking around school alone.
When she was six years old, she found herself in trouble with another student. He was pulling at her hair and pushing her around. Trying to run away, she tripped on some stairs and broke her knee and ankle. She refused to reveal the reason for her fall and simply stated that she was clumsy. She received the best medical care [courtesy of her father] and had an operation to repair the damage. The boy left her alone after that because Beni threatened to reveal what had happened if he ever went near her again.
She found some comfort when she turned eight years old; she befriended Bethan, a girl in her English class. The two became good friends, and Beni found herself becoming a happy go lucky girl again. Bethan often questioned Beni about her strange name and Beni found great pride in announcing that she was half Japanese. She found herself able to share with Bethan a lot of her thoughts and feelings, and their friendship grew stronger over the years.
Things took a turn for the worse when Beni was ten years old. She came home from school to find her brother on the floor. Rushing to his aid, she saw that he was in pain and called an ambulance. When they arrived, she contacted her mother and sat next to her brother as they went to the hospital. It was discovered that he'd gotten an infection that had gone unnoticed. Her brother remained in hospital for a month until he finally died during Beni and her mother's visit. Beni was traumatised by the experience and felt as if she'd lost a part of herself. Her brother had been her world and she suddenly felt awfully lonely.
News of her brother's unfortunate death reached her father, and he attended the funeral. Beni got angry at her father, blaming him for not doing anything and for putting pressure on Alexander to get good enough grades to take over the family business. She was of course, punished for this and was locked in a cupboard until she learned her lesson. This has caused her to be afraid of close spaces, and it was also the start of her hatred towards her father. She didn't understand why she had to be punished and in such a way. But she remembered what Alexander had told her about the Japanese way of life, and soon began to realise that this was probably what was going to happen from now on.
She was worried about returning to school after loosing her brother, but Bethan supported her, and Beni soon found that others were being supportive and sympathetic as well. She soon gained many more friends and although she was suspicious, she was happy that she was being accepted. She began to contribute once again to lessons, and was soon back to her old self. She did still get teased and bullied by some people, but she now had a group of friends to fall back on.
When she was fourteen years old, she developed a crush on a fellow student at her school: Christopher Shepard. She kept her feelings secret for a while until confessing to her friends during a sleepover. Bethan took it upon herself to find out if he liked her back, discovering that he did, the two dated and Beni felt a sense of joy like no other. However, Beni's shy self came through a lot, and the two never kissed one another, Beni took this as a sign that her feelings for him weren't strong enough and she ended the relationship. The two still remain friends and Beni often writes to him.
When Beni was sixteen, her father offered her the chance to come to Japan with him, she refused stating that she couldn't leave her mother on her own. However, her grandfather passed away and her mother accepted the invitation to finally move to Japan. The experience was wonderful for Beni, she had only really seen pictures and was happy to finally be stepping foot in Japan. Because she was fluent in Japanese, she found it easier then her mother to interact with others. The two of them joined Akira in his mansion, and Beni found herself amazed at it's size. But she didn't know what to think of it, and was worried that she'd be thought of as a snob. However, when she visited Ouran Private Academy, which she would start to attend in April.
At the age of 17, her mother fell ill because she hadn't received all of the proper injections that were needed before moving here. Since then, she has been in hospital receiving the best medication that she could possibly get. Beni has been reluctant to visit her mother, in fear that she may witness her demise. She does however visit her every other weekend. With the new school year about to start, Beni is nervous about meeting her class, but she's also excited. She hopes to make good friends whilst at Ouran, and hopes that her intellect is something that s praised here.
I'd want to watch this scene forever;;
